That **** happens to me quite a bit too, and I'll get frustrated and angry and blame it on FFR before I even think that the issue could be my fingernails.

I really hate when they get just long enough for me to feel them when I hit the keys, it kind of hurts. That's when I know to trim them.

i've noticed that if my fingernails are too long, i don't play as well. but if i cut then REALLY short, i don't play as well either... plus it hurts my fingers.
the annoying thing of it is that my left middle finger is also one of my bowling fingers, and i have to make sure the nail is trimmed really thin for bowling, or it'll screw up my release. so that in turn messes up my FFR for a day or two. it's a lose-lose situation.RIPComment

I'm not sure how much my fingernails effect me; if they're long I seem to hit jacks with them though, unless my memory is faulty. It's something I ought to pay conscious attention to, because I would like to know whether I should have them long or short or what.

I always feel like I can press the keys faster with more precision when my fingernails are trimmed. The weight distribution within my fingers seem to be imbalanced if my nails are too long causing me to hit keys slower, and they just get in the way.

I start hitting early goods when I have long nails but I usually cut them too short so then my fingers start bleeding or hurting each time I tap a key.
There's been several times where I'd be playing a song and by the time I'd finish the song, there'd be blood or something on my fingers and keyboard.
