What exactly is spread? I've always used one hand, and it seems like I've gotten to a certain point that I can't really get past.

Well, from personal experience, i'd say to go with two..... I started out with one, and could never make it past Standard, which eventually perfected itself into Difficult.... But still, within two weeks of me switching to both hands, I took Ver Diff, easily.

Not I can play all Chall, Ver Chall, and a few Master songs.

      Only 2 Guru's though.

But it'll get better..... I'd definetly take both hands for a try if I were you..... Also, give it time..... You can't expect to become gawd in a day, like a did...... Which just made me angry.

Hunter, if you're going to bump the thread, at least answer a question that already hasn't been answered.

To captain, playing spread is when you play two hands, both index and middle finger, on the letters of the keyboard (i.e. dfjk ; xcm, ; sxmk ; etc.)

You should go for it make it easier on your hands but, if you're good at one hand you should continue practicing that because it shows talent to play one handed.

You know, I've actually tried this before and it was confusing to me. I'll have to give it another go, I suppose.

I'm really not bad with one hand. I can easily do very-challenging songs, although it's taken me 2 years to do it....... Alas! I'll switch eventually!

One handed is probably a good way to start of when your new but two handed definatly better. Whats spread though? sorry just no to familiar with the vocab.

if you can play 1 hand on difficult you should be able to play 2 hands on difficult(or at least i was able to). I think 1 hand feels more exciting especially on doubles keep with it.

One hands is good to start off with, and most people normaly start playing one handed. But unless you practice your ass off, one handed play won't get you very far. I recommend switching to either spread or index, if you want to get better and play harder songs.

@S1lentwolf: Spread is when you play with two hands, four fingers. Index is when you play with two hands, two fingers (both index fingers, lol. Makes sense)

That's only your opinion, Darklighting. It's all up to the player to decide how he/she wants to play.

one hand could be the best if you put a lot of work on it
