Re: Should I learn to use two hands?
I'm learning spread and have got to the point that I can fc difficult songs, nearly fc very difficult songs, and I am able to pass any song. There are some songs that I've beaten my previous one-handed score playing spread, and I know there's no way I can improve my one-handed playing skills that much better to beat them, but I have much better PA playing one-handed, and since I'm used to playing one-handed, I can read how to hit the notes better and get better combos. It's fun to play one-handed too, although I'm sure I'm going to surpass my one-handed skills by playing spread someday. I still practice both though.

After I dropped playing one handed, I just couldn't get back into it. I wish I could alternate from spread to index to one handed.

Re: Should I learn to use two hands?
Right when somebody starts playing FFR, they start out with one hand. I don't know why people want to play with one hand because it takes more practice. Two hand+spread is way more comfortable and will be way faster. This is my signatureComment

Re: Should I learn to use two hands?
It's tough to keep up your skill for each style when you play spread. =/ For me at least.
I play index, 2 hand 3-finger, 1 hand 3-finger and spread, but everything other than spread I can't do as well now. Since I use spread way more often these days.
I did start out with 2 hand 3-finger when I found the site 4 years ago, and kept with it until about last year. XDPlaying FFR/Lurking around the forums since Dec. 2004Comment

Re: Should I learn to use two hands?
Actually, i think the best one hander in this site is korny.
I recommand that you switch to two hands not because its easier, but you will get better scores once you practice a lot. But like EA said, don't switch to two hands just cause people want you to. It's all up to you bro. =)===============================
The idea that RDCP 3 may come out in the future is a fun thought to have~

Re: Should I learn to use two hands?
In case no one has informed him yet. Don't just switch over to two hands! I forget who said this (I remember this from the forum a while back), "Don't just focus on one playing style. Try to be able to play in many different ways like one handed, two handed, index, and whatever other ways you can think of. That way you are an all around good player and you are stuck to just one type of playing." This person, whoever they were, was right on the money. I played two hands at first for like the first year of FFR (this is my new account, I forget my old one) and then I started to just mess around with one hand. It was hard, but now I can at least pass a lot of VC and C songs (which isn't very good, but it's a start). I've also been playing a lot of index lately and I've been able to fc quiet a bit of VD and C songs. Make sure to keep your one hand skills alive but also try to gain some two hander skills as well. You can even combine them in songs like how I use two handed in AIM Anthem and then I switch to index once those constant arrows come and I switch on and off during the song.Comment
