Autosync never gets it right for me...Alot of my files---while onbeat---have the wrong gap.

If you want to find the gap, go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and download it

Its a free music editing program, so you can also just delete the gap and save it as an mp3 using the LAME encoder, http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php

The reason i haven't done this is because my lame isn't working for some reason

Depending on how you define your offset, you may have to cut off everything before the peak of the first note. Also, Audacity and most other editors add a tiny bit of whitespace in the MP3 when converting, so the point is moot.

Just a suggestion for you guys (judges): I think the "good-file" tester need to play +? files as well. Say a file has a random 32nd jack but otherwise is good, although there is a long left handed trill. Shash and JX have no problem with the trill, but obviously want the 32nd jack out. So they both +? it saying to remove the jack and otherwise the file is good. But then in the next batch, after Shash and JX + the file, Tass says, "nuh-uh that trill has to go" and then the author has to revise the file further and get it in the next batch.

Instead of the file taking two batches to get in, it took three, and only because the author didn't get Tass's feedback the first time 'round.

So, simply, I think the good file tester needs to play files that both judges give +? or higher, while it may take a little more work for the good file tester (who is playing significantly less files than the other two anyway), it will ultimately get files through the system quicker.

OMG people learn to sync. Stop using dumb programs and be a man. By the way, if any of you need help syncing I'm willing to help. BUT if any of you give me a live recording with 6000 BPM changes I'm going to smite you.

And NOBODY better counter me using Bicycle Break as an example. I was a noob back then.

I don't know what the problem is with syncing songs with constant bpm. It's pointing and centering. You get one right and then you have to fix the other. You keep doing this until it's perfect. Then you ask someone else's opinion (thx again S_B and v4n, for the opinions/help).


How's this batch shaping up? Looking good/bad/better than the last batch?

Yea if a file gets +? from 2 of us, I think it's test-worthy.
In my current criteria, +?'d files aren't too bad except for some minor problems.

Yeah well, Rebirth lied. They're arrangements of music by ZUN, from a series of games many know as "Touhou."

EDIT: Also, if I can get any information on my Small Clone file, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've had several others test the file out and they can find no issues with it to speak of. It's technically an accurate and fun song to play, and I really can't modify anything without making the file WORSE, so can I get any news on that?

Also, I just submitted Seikyou OX Keikaku. *sets wristwatch time*

If I remove any jumps, it will remove all sense of rhythm I was trying to create in the file in the first place. Duh
