Speaking of permissions: Tass, you said that if an OCRemixer has a song in FFR it's alright to use any of their music, right? Even if they aren't on the Blanket Permission list?

Because I'm interested in some of djpretzel's stuff (Bubble Bobble Hillbilly Rodeo is the song he has in FFR).

Do you need permission for ALL songs people make?
Because its going to be hella hard to get permission for mine. =l
I have no idea where to find "Spasm" if its a person or a group, plus i don't know where to contact them and ask.
I've looked everywhere.

Ugh. Bundy is becoming a pain in my ass. It's mostly on sync, but some of it gets a little off between the BPM changes, and I'm afraid that'll get it rejected.

i will be sumbiting all my stuff on friday i have about 7 files...3 fixed and 4 new...and im still waiting for my ffr r1 title its been 7 days and i still dont have it

So if I submit several dBu files, they'd go into rock?

My main concern is that people are going to think "Higan Retour ~ Titanic of Stygian" is some epic rock song

No, I only meant that we're not moving anything that's already in the game, like BotM.

What kind of game is Touhou? How are the songs used? Were they created for the purpose of the game, or were they simply included in it?

Ouch thats right it would be tough to get permission for Acid Rain (it is the LTE one, not Ossa's), lol just used to SM where anything goes =(

I thought it wouldve made a fun file, and the 32nds at the end would all be rolls (like For FFR or something), but idk. I really doubt I could get permission for that but I'll try damnit XD

EDIT: also if I remember correctly the music in Touhou was just included. And its all awesome

About Dan (OLD SKOOL MIX): I know it's on Stepmania.com and I think that SM ask for permission from the song artist so they can host. Email the SM group and ask for contact info.

Genres like Rock, Hiphop, Funk are determined by the music style, whereas Arcade is just determined by the fact that the song is used for a game (or a remix of the game music).

If a song meets both requirement, the genre is determined subjectively by Tass.
