Yeah, so I heard Ben. I loved the song too much to not step it though =P I was rather pleased with my file, but yours is probably better. What batch did you send it in for?

Yeah, Rock songs take so long to step.

Nah I doubt mine is any better - there's only a couple of different patterns you can use for this song so they'll probably be extremely similiar.

Err next batch after this one. Just gotta polish it off a little :P

This isn't rock is it? I thought it was kinda like Indie Pop or summin

Eh, I've always considered stuff like that light/alternative rock. I usually just end up classifying it as rockish =P I ended up stepping mostly just the vocals, so it's not too difficult, but it's pretty fun to play.

i'm still waiting for someone to do an awesome file for The Sewers. awesome song... and Goldeneye is one of my favorite games of all time. we've gotten a few submissions on it... they've just all sucked.

I will do {The Sewers}. I think it's time to get back into stepping.

Eh, I've always considered stuff like that light/alternative rock. I usually just end up classifying it as rockish =P I ended up stepping mostly just the vocals, so it's not too difficult, but it's pretty fun to play.

Awesome I only stepped the vocals when all the instruments fade out

But after the batch could we maybe send each others to compare :P

I thought about stepping Sewers, while it is a good song, I think it'll end up too repetitive for FFR IMO

Small Clone (Electro Harmony Mix) Could be considered funk, I guess. It's a yamajet song but I'm not sure if it was accepted in the queue or not, =/ I just know Secrets and Lies is, rofl.

If you can tell me some good funk artists that we have permissions for, I'll step some more since I really like that kind of music the most.

EDIT: Also, all of dbu's music inside FFR should be considered "Arcade."

The Brain of the Moon and Dream of Scarlet are both from japanese doujinshi. (Remixes)

Your files are good.
You should use fewer jumps though. Jumps work well on SM, not so well on FFR. I have that problem too.

Exag0n's files are okay, for what FFR limits step artists to. The only problem is his bad syncing.

Exag0n, get someone to sync your files from now on haha. I'm pretty sure I've played like 9+ files of yours and every one I've tried has been horribly off.

Part of that is Tass/the FFR engine's fault. There's NO way to control the gap in FFR songs, NONE at all. Unless you're a eff eff are perfesser like rebirth

No, All of his submissions to the smgroovekbmp2 were entirely off.

I didn't think anyone who had simfiles accepted into FFR could be so bad at syncing, it was kinda hilarious.

That's probably what i'm going to do, see if someone can sync my stepfile for me...The stepping i don't have a problem with, but the syncing i do...

I spent a few days trying to figure out the gap in {Big Bad Scary Fish-Man} until i finally had the idea to open it up in Audacity, where i found the gap between the beginning and the first main beat was .4 seconds. My problem was that there was no gap between the beginning and the first beat, but there was a gap between the beginning and the first main beat, and i spent a while trying to figure that out
