Probably hasn't been judged yet. This batch is still open and judging will begin soon. Just be patient!

Hi guys.

I’ve been slowly making it known that I wanted the Official Tournament started sometime in August, but there’s one problem with that — FFR isn’t getting the volume of files that is necessary to sustain a 7-division tournament! In addition to needing a large amount of files, we also need files for precise difficulties. While I will not disclose what is precisely needed for the tournament, I will reiterate that easier files are certainly tougher to come by, and we definitely need them for the lower divisions.

I have an incentive for you all — I will reward ONE support token, or 25,000 credits if you have all three support tokens, for a NEW accepted file in a single judgment period (to be announced soon). In order to be eligible for this reward, your file must:

- be sent after July 14th. Because there will likely be a minimum of two judgment periods, you will have at least two opportunities to earn support tokens or credits after the current batch.

- be announced in this front page post. You have to post the name of the ONE file that you want to choose for this challenge, and label when it was sent. For example:

La Campanella [Nu-Rave] / Submitted: July 15th

- NOT be a resubmission of something in the last three batches. I will verify this.

- Do not attempt to submit under an alternate alias; you will be caught and eventually reprimanded.

Please note that you can send as many files as indicated by your Simfile Artist Points (if you don’t know what these are, please read the first post of the Queue/Batch Discussion Thread), but only the ONE file you post in this front page post will be eligible for the reward!
This challenge does not have a date of closure, yet. I will keep this updated with important details!

So if I'm understanding, users who have already used up their SAP can't do this?

They won't be able to do it for this current period, but with a lack of tournament-worthy files, it's very likely that there will be a minimum of two periods to do this (i.e. the August period).

So, if you don't have SAP now, don't fret -- you'll have a shot come August as well.

EDIT: Also, I realize that my wording wasn't perfect, but you will only get to name a SINGLE file. If you have the SAP to submit two different times, it does not matter -- you will only have one shot and you have to make sure that your strongest submission is the one that list.

But, TC_Halogen, don't we not get any more submissions in August than we have now? If we've used up the submissions we have based on our SAP, then can't we not submit any more until September? I don't see how one could submit a file in the August period but not the July period.

We're currently in the July-August period so yeah if anybody's used up their SAP before July 14th 11:59 PM Server Time then they won't be able to submit to the event

Yeah, I realized how this worked out. I was under the impression that the points were going to reset in August, not hadn't reset in July.

Why not just make it a special submission like the easy batch was, where everyone only gets 1 submission and it doesn't count towards your cap of others sent?

Well shit, I had no idea that LeaF was a BMS of Fighters artist.

I've already stepped it for pad, why not step it for FFR too? Stepping Calamity Fortune, by LeaF!

EDIT: Doug: I can't do that, because I'm not running the batch. What I was doing was indirectly influencing the batch by getting people to submit and rewarding if they do well, but what you're asking involves me actually running a batch - something I have no power to do.
