To answer the question on whether you're allowed to submit right now: the answer is no, not yet. The queue will likely be opened once this current batch is finished in a timely manner - which so far looks good actually. Once we get that confidence back, we'll likely open up the batch again. Right now, we need to make sure we don't bite off more than we can chew.

I don't know how the cycle will continue, but it may very well be that the periods will remain the way they are (a Jan-Feb period, a Mar-Apr period, and so on) instead of having the periods shift to an odd date of cycling.

So because of this will a period be shortened? Or will you just not accept files for that period?

Nothing has been decided yet. It'll likely depend on when the current batch will finish its judgments in its entirety.

Funny enough I can't recall actually complaining about how long it takes to judge. (If I have it was recently with the whole like what was it 3 months thing? I feel that one is fair game but a week or three? Not really.) It's one of those few things I think I have yet to have ranted on. I should compose a rant sometime. I think that would be one of the fun ones. Time to fire up the simile and hyperbole gun. Maybe use some size seven text and italics for more emphasis, combine some words even for the hell of it.

It might ring an ill suggested bell.

That said I'm getting pretty hyped for the batch. I've got what I feel are some stronger charts in there. (Thanks Xiz for the Sleep comments. I actually did them or at least a large portion of them.)
