This is a reminder to myself to actually make fixes and not get lazy / forget.

As far as the two conditional accepts, to what extent do I have to change the charts for acceptance? I'm sure there's plenty that can be improved, but at the same time I know there will be some disagreements even after perceived issues are pointed out.

Also, why does Ant IDM have an asterisk?

This is basically the rating appeal policy. Fixes are sent to [email protected] and in the email, provide a list of what was changed and not changed. If something was not changed, mention the reasoning behind it and it can be reviewed. If there's still a disagreement, a second primary judge can look over the changes (such as myself).

Ant IDM has an asterisk indicating that it will be accepted on the condition that the issues mentioned in the review are addressed. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to make all the changes if you can provide reasonable justification, but they need to be addressed.

When fixes are found in the ffrsubmissions email, the file's status will be switched over to Pending Fixes (to differentiate from "Conditional Queue" which indicates there hasn't been anything sent).

The main thing I'm concerned about with Ant IDM is the PR stuff I mentioned in the beginning. Everything else I think is minor and isn't really a big deal if it doesn't get changed.

            Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v3

Notes for Set 2 in November 2014 have been posted in the Batch Review Thread. This leaves just Set 3 and Set 8 for the November 2014 Batch.

Results for November 2014 Set 2:

            Conditional Queue
[8*/10] Exothermic (Overhead Remix) {Virt remixed by Yamajet} (bmah)
            [7/10] Waves {AsphyxZero} (wv)
            [7/10] I'm Getting Serious! {Furries in a Blender} (YoshL)

            Rejected
            [5.5/10] Space Threat {Pyramyth} (MarioNintendo & Xiz)
            [5/10] Hajnal 2 {Venetian Snares} (FFR Pro 21)

On another note, the November 2014 Batch Page on the BSE site has some skewed numbers; I'm looking into this.

              Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v3

I looked at the following 4 conditionally queue'd files in September 2014 that had updates sent:
              - PWRPFF Raves
              - Gym Training Montage

              - Phantasy Story -Re:Start-
              - burned down the ghost house and escaped spooks

For the files that were put back to Conditional Queue from unresolved issues, an email was sent with the feedback on what needs to be addressed.

                  Hi guys.
I'm a newbie here, so I have questions.
Currently, there are 2 of them.

                  1. I submitted two simfiles 3 days ago, and not only I haven't received a single email reply, I haven't even seen my stepcharts in the queue in the BSE, which is ridiculous. Is it normal?

                  2. Since I haven't found an answer for this, how do I increase my submission cap?

                  Thanks in advance

you increase submission cap by getting your submissions accepted by the batch reviewers

and the reason you haven't seen your files yet, I don't know. They have alot of work on their hands atm I guess.

Did you send them to [email protected] ?

Okay, I'll wait for my files to be accepted. I hope they won't be reviewed as extensively as some of the older charts were :P

Yes, I did send them to that exact email.

Email replies are not given for submissions. You won't see your stepcharts on the Queue page because they aren't in Released, Accepted, or Conditional Queue. What I think you meant is that you needed a user account to add Songs. I PM'd you your user information and created the two Songs for you. Also, submitting to the email does not make the song submission present on the BSE site -- an admin user has to approve it.

Concerning increasing your submission cap from 2 to 5, it just requires that a user gets a file accepted (which makes the user a simfile author).

Also, users who are submitting under an alias should state so in their emails. You know who you are -- not informing that you are submitting under an alias provides more overhead that makes song submissions harder.

Going past the submission cap with an alias resulted in punishment in the previous system, yes. I might wind up adding a rule that stepartists must state if they are using an alias in their email, but if such a rule is to be added I'd give proper notice.

If I recall correctly, the only reason it's allowed is because it's not written anywhere in the rules that you're not allowed to, assuming you're not breaking your cap overall.

At least, that's what I did. One time I think sent two on my alt and one on my main because it stayed within both caps in a sense.

Although I have a new one. When are regular batches open and why do they close? (I only seem to get info on batches from 2014-2015.)
