Why Cwhatever is cheap

Hey you think that cmods are cheating. That's GREAT. Just don't bring your opinions into peoples' Brag Threads. You know, you don't have to post in them if you don't want to.

"Boo fucking hoo you used a cmod on this song. I think that it's cheating. Let me #$* up your brag thread with my opinions which I think are more important."

I know I didn't want to hear it in my brag thread. It's just useless, because you aren't going to convince me not to use cmods.

When have I EVER commented in ANYONE'S brag thread about their C-mod being cheating....??? never.. I never have... Don't accuse em of thigns I didn't do...

You know why I don't F up other ppl's threads? well one, because it's rude... but also because I don't care if they do... what pisses me off is when people don't agree that C-mods DO give you an advantage of SOME KIND... magnitude of which varies from person to person... I'm not here to persuade anyone not to use C-mods, I'm just pointing out my position that I think using edited metrics puts people on uneven ground... that's MY OPINION...

O, and Anuj - I think almsot eveyrone here can pwn me at DDR songs o__O lol, my MA/PA sux ASS, I get better scores if I play them all on 1.5x song speed... lol...

O and one mroe thing... cheap != cheat... I'm not accusing you guys of CHEATING... I'm just saying that edited metrics are cheap... somehow the last 5 or so viscious posts against my position replaced the word cheap with cheat...

EDIT: o, and Anuj, I believe that the BPM scroll DOES affect your ability to press the arrows at a certain speed... assuming you haven't memorized the song, you hafta read the arrows... thus, your reaction time is affected by the scroll speed... and htus, your ability to hit the arrows fast enuff AND accurately is affected... at least that's how it is with me, and I'm sure a lot of other ppl are like that too...

What I meant is that cmods still make you require skill to do well on songs... you can't just do whatever and expect to AA/AAA it

This is getting out of hand.

87x's comment a few months ago was right. A good C400 accomplishment is a good C400 accomplishment. That doesn't mean you get to hold it to the same standards as a 3x or 2x or even .5x accomplishment or whatever, but it doesn't mean you get to call it out as cheating somehow, cause it's not.

This isn't a ranking site, this is a brag board. If someone made a good Cwhatever accomplishment, it's a good Cwhatever accomplishment. Leave it at that. Just like judge 1 accomplishments (as long as they're clearly marked) might not be the same standard as judge 4 accomplishments, but that doesn't mean they're somehow illegitimate.

As long as you're being honest with the mods you're using and your SM settings for the accomplishment, you can post accomplishments of whatever variety you want here. And that includes Cwhatever accomplishments.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the official brag board stance on issues like these. So locked.
