I’ll Skin You Alive!
Zag Edit: Just a quick reminder. The skins, themes, buttons, interface you design is entirely your decision. The original template, seen below, is not how we demand the game looks. You can be as creative as your mind is limited to. Love the wheel system in FFR? Then make a wheel system. It’s up to you. Remember that your skin can simply consist of objects, buttons, artwork, and a detailed explanation of how the objects would be animated and placed together. It’s all up to you. The engine that I am designing is entirely object oriented. Anything can be placed anywhere, let your imagination run wild! (No 3D or excessive zooming please!)
Note: Talk to justin_ator & yo man im awesome for details on due dates. The final submission deadline will be in late august so you have plenty of time.
Haha okay, not really.
Welcome everyone! We have a new contest for you!
For those of you who do not know, there is a new new engine in the making at this time. It’s known as BlackWebb. BlackWebb is basically going to be FFR, completely redesigned and upgraded. This is where our contest comes into play:
Our contest is to see who is the very best at designing.
Your goal, in short, is to design a new layout skin for BlackWebb! The original template for BlackWebb can be found here.
The winners in this contest will receive the prize of the title of “BlackWebb Skin Designer“, X amount of credits (based on placement [1st, 2nd, etc.] and how many skins we accept), and having their own skin available in-game.
These skins will be judged similarly to the simfiles that are submitted for the game (details in the thread). After the judges have accepted a specific number of skins to be voted on, you guys (the public) will cast your votes to rank the best.
Use any sort of theme or color schemes you like, make sure it is your own work, and remember to keep it unique and have fun!
Please go to the thread, located here, for the remaining small details and to discuss this contest.
Good luck and have fun!

Who wants vRofl??
Well, after a huge thread suggesting new ways to unlock vRofl, we have finally decided to listen. In addition to Official Tournaments, we will now give out vRofl to anyone who accumulates 1 billion grand total score in 24 hours, or, for those of us who are not insomniacs, 50 billion grand total score. We realize that both of these are near impossible for most people, but hey, it’s less impossible than no chance at all.
In order to qualify for vRofl with 1 billion grand total score in 24 hours, you must attain this before 12am server time (server clock is in the banner of the site), since that is when daily stats reset. The best way to do this would be to start playing as soon as the daily stats reset. Before you say this is impossible, it has been accomplished by six people so far.
Also, as to be expected, anyone who attains either of these feats illegitimately will have all stats reset and will be blacklisted from the game.
The process is not automatic (so we can better weed out cheaters one by one), so if you qualify, please send a PM to an administrator, or post in the vRofl thread.
Good luck!

Songs Of The Week (Jun 8, 2011)
Hi guys. Here’s more front page news about new songs – we have three to talk about today.
The Final Hour — Dance2 / Very Challenging / 2:34
Feeling This REMIX — Dance / Very Difficult / 1:48
Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya! — Arcade / Challenging / 1:02
Before we get to details about the new releases, let it be noted that this is a special release – 2 of these songs are charted by someone who does not yet have a chart in game. Congratulations to them!
Release #1: The Final Hour
Dimrain47? Who the heck is that? Well, all of you stream masters might have simply skimmed over the all of the Dimrain songs after achieving that elusive full-perfect combo. The Final Hour is the first public Dimrain47 song to hit FFR since Rebirth0′s speedy but short chart for Forsaken Neon (back in December of 2007!). Unlike the previous Dimrain47 songs, this will not go down as easily; with a Very Challenging rating, this song sits atop of all Dimrain47 charts in terms of difficulty, and gives you more than just the usual dosage of streaming – you’ll be battling heavy layering and fairly speedy jumpstream for a decent majority of the chart. Stepchart is by FFR’s newest moderator, psychoangel691. You’ll find this song in Dance2.
Release #2: Feeling This REMIX
Are you one of those people who love Clockwork, but can’t handle the chart? If so, Feeling This REMIX is your song. Breakbeat Heartbeat makes a second appearance on FFR with a moderately technical file, using 8th note jumps at a decently fast pace of 180 BPM, throwing 16th streams and the occasional color shift due to BPM cuts and increases. This is the easiest chart of the three releases, only pushing the Very Difficult mark. Let us give a round of applause to MrPopadopalis25 for bringing this to FFR – you can give it a play in the Dance genre.
Release #3: Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!
A song of an internet meme? A Challenging difficulty rated file by 0? THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END SAVE YOURSELVES
*ahem* now…I’m not sure how many people haven’t heard of the (in)famous Nyan Cat, but if you -have- heard it, this is the song that plays alongside of the endlessly floating pop-tart cat. Daniwell-P, who first made their appearance with Electrical Parade, is the creator of this song. 0 brings his densely layered style to this song to make a tricky jumpstreaming file. Out of the three songs, this is the shortest one, only clocking at a minute and two seconds of play time! You’ll find this one sitting in Arcade.
Have fun! Feel free to comment about the charts on this page.

Songs Of The Week (Jun 1, 2011)
Three more songs have been added to FFR today.
Homosexual Love Scene by Renard — Dance 2 / Challenging / 2:12
Camel by S.in — Secret [4,800] / Very Challenging / 2:24
Sleet by Torley Wong — Classical / Very Difficult / 3:11
FFR adds to its surprisingly small collection of Renard music with Homosexual Love Scene. Those of you people who enjoy instrument-assigned color gimmicks will get a nice little kick out of intentionally offset 48th notes to give a silly voice some representation. The stepchart itself is fairly spread out in difficulty, staying relatively calm and tame for a large majority but throwing some tricky bursts in between, and finishing off with some longer broken jumpstreams. This chart is brought to FFR by Niala, who brings his first official work of his own after collaborating with T-Force on Thrash the Plank.
Next, we have Camel, a slow paced, tribal-sounding song by S.in. Despite the slow tempo of the song, the song has a very powerful percussion line that gives it a driving intensity. On top of that, it is coupled with a chart that clearly accents everything that four arrows possibly can. This unique song has been brought to FFR by bmah, and you can find it in the Secret genre if you have 4,800 credits to spare.
And finally, we have another Torley Wong song to share with all of you. Like Rain and Snow, Sleet is a slow paced song that uses many grace notes and strong accents to provide you difficulty. If you hadn’t had enough of Torley Wong with Rain and Snow, you’ll definitely love Sleet, because it’s also stepped by the same person. Credit goes to Silvuh for this masterful sync and understanding of the song’s content. Snow is waiting for you in the Classical genre.
Enjoy!

Songs Of The Week (Apr 26, 2011)
Hey guys! Been a while, eh?
[Song List]
When Petals Fall by Ikodo Moonstrife — Classical / For Beginners Only / 1:48
Through the Martian Hell by ThePlasmas — Rock / Challenging / 1:03
Everything Went Numb by Streetlight Manifesto — Purchased [1,500] / Very Challenging / 2:15
honki sentai majirenjaa by TAG (remixed by YU) — Secret [23,000] / For Masters Only / 2:58
One of our profilic simfile artists continues his unspoken obsession with Ikodo Moonstrife, accounting for (now) all eight charts by this artist. With this release comes When Petals Fall, a very serene and almost dreamlike melody spanning over the course of nearly two minutes. However, don’t let the short length fool you — the very light nature of this song makes it play a bit longer than it really is, and the chart is easy enough for even the least proficient keysmashers to score perfectly on. Chart is by Silvuh, and is located in the Classical genre.
If your head is still intact from all of the headbanging that Four Blocks Madness may have caused, you’ll be able to enjoy another release by ThePlasmas. This time, they come to the game with Through the Martian Hell. As short as this song is, it does pack a decent amount of difficulty with some pretty hectic jumpstream for the last third of the song. Similar to the Ikodo Moonstrife preference, woker-X seems to have an affinity with ThePlasmas, as he is responsible for this chart. This song will be waiting for you in the Rock genre.
Ska lovers, rejoice! We have a new artist appearing in FFR’s public song list – a group native from Jersey, and very well known as Streetlight Manifesto. Streetlight Manifesto comes to FFR today with their popular hit – Everything Went Numb. In comparison to the other level 10 chart in our releases, Everything Went Numb is considerably more technical, carrying around many layered mini-jacks. Leave it to who_cares973 to make yet another technical chart for an enjoyable song. As with many premium charts, you will have to pay a few credits to get them. A few being 1,500. A day’s worth of keysmashing should be more than enough to put this in your Purchased genre.
Finally, we have honki sentai majirenjaa, a remix by Yu. If you thought saying the name was a handful, the chart is just as challenging as the proper pronounciation of the name. This song has a very difficult chart that pushes just about every skill – jacks, jumpstream, bursts, trilling, colored rhythms; you’ll see all of it in here. The hardest AND longest of our releases is sure to give even the most experienced players a run for their money — and chart connoisseur bmah is responsible for it. You too, can play this chart, but only if you have at least 23,000 credits sitting in your credit bank.
Have an enjoy!
EDIT – We forgot to mention, “Through the Martian Hell” is the 1000th song in this game!
