Lots has changed~!

For the last 6 years, going on 7, I've been employed at a local hobby shop. During that time we've expanded from a hole-in-the-wall location with only 3 staff and an owner in active military duty, to 10 staff, a full-fledged retail operation with daily games and full tables 7 days a week of people playing anything from Warhammer to Pokémon.

In that time I retired my jewelry business, had an amicable split and wonderful co-parenting with my ex-husband, And tunneled full time into a salaried career in a management position. I own my home, my car, and my kid will be 18 in two years. This account is almost 18 years old. At the time of writing, I am 34, no other children, content. Life has had some interesting challenges, but I've met them with strength. I've worked hard!

I became a MTG judge and traveled to judge on the circuit while maintaining my full-time job. It brought me to some cool places! Because of the tabletop gaming industry I've found myself traveling to the US every few months for work related functions, peer-to-peer engagement, and consulting.

I now appraise and purchase magic collections, singles for the shop, and bring in a healthy sum to support the store's adventures by understanding the ebb and flow of the tcg trade market, daily.

I'm a community leader, I have a strong reputation. I am dependable, have an amazing group of friends, and family who care deeply about me. The person who made this account 18 years ago would have no idea the future we'd be able to build for ourselves.

Now it's kind of a social experiment to see where I'm at next time I read this. With this account kind of being suspended in time, it gives me a unique way to look back.

[b]Operating System:[/b]
First of all, I am NOT either using Windows 10 or 11, not even Windows 7/8/8.1. Instead, I've used Artix Linux! Wow, who would have thought about that? Been daily driving this for a year now with suckless' tools. Absolutely amazing piece of software!


[b]Hardware:[/b]
I am currently using my ThinkPad X240, the worst version of all time! But I don't care any of that. Screen is 1366x768@60Hz in TN Panel. Not amazing but it works.


[b]Keyboard:[/b]
I honestly forgot the brand and the name of this keyboard! I don't see ANY printed label here. It is a 5$ membrane keyboard, but it is not very mushy, It feels like it has scissor switch but I won't break those stock key caps to check on those switches. The space bar is okay, guys!


[b]FFR settings:[/b]
Currently running at "120FPS" because I am running `wine` (v11.4) here, not `proton`, nerds. I also don't want to destroy stability.

Scroll speed is "2.74", I don't know if it's closer to osu!mania's 24 scroll speed.

Note scale is "105%".

Receptor spacing is "68".

Global Offset is "2.79". I like things perfectly synchronized!

And I used down scroll. Of course, I also used it from Etterna and osu!mania.


That's really about it! I am cheap, but I am frugal. 🇵🇭

Wow I've been here for about 6,7 years!

It's been a long while since I felt like this (4 years...?) but I feel like I've hit peak performance again, I've been setting regular 80+ EQ scores the past few days, grinding out average rank like it's nothing and slowly chipping away at the skill rating leaderboard again. It feels pretty good and I'd say I'm a real contender to win my first tournament in the next 2 weeks as well!!!

FFR is my #1 favorite rhythm game forever, but I always wished there was an offline version. Unless I'm blind I couldn't find any.

So I gave Stepmania a try a yearish ago, super late to the party, but it doesn't hit the same for me.
I'm struggling to find fun, satisfying songs. I find many songs I know and love, but the gameplay majority of the time is lacking for me, either too easy, too hard, or just not as fun to play as FFR versions.

Its made me want to try making my own songs, how difficult would that be to learn for someone who has never done it?

If anyone has any suggestions to add to my song collection I'm always looking for more. Any genre.
I am always especially on the hunt for songs that are rich in those tasty little green arrows lol

When I started writing a year ago, I never dreamed that signing an exclusive contract with a horror publishing house would be in the cards for me. Here we are!!!! Yesterday, I signed a contract with 13 Days Publishing, and today it was officially announced! When I was 12, I knew I wanted to write, and now I can officially say that 12-year-old me would think 34-year-old me is the coolest!
