Re: WALL-E
I have the exact opposite view of you Izzy lol. I thought Wall-e was one of my least favorites from pixar. It was still really good, but it just didn't have that "pixar magic" that ratatouille had. Now, if I was a critic, (I actually want to be a movie critic lol) I would say the visuals in wall-e are simply amazing, and the non-dialogue parts work out just fine, but I found a plot kind of lacking.
Specforces, why does it matter if people don't like to speak with correct grammar? It's the internet. This is the one place where it doesn't even matter lol. I'm sure a good majority of people on this site are excellent writers anyways.
EDIT: also just some kewl stuff. metacritic gave it a 93/100 which makes it the highest rated movie of the year. Ratatouille did receive a 96/100 though :PLast edited by dawg4321; 06-29-2008, 03:07 PM.Comment

Re: WALL-E
very good movie... cause it made me feel good ^_^ . though they still went abit overboard on tryign to make robots seem cute and personified.
the beginning was great. very morbid and lonely look on things... but then all those naive fat people was just so weird but funny lol . Favorite part of the movie has to be when the ship tilts and all the fat people fall off their chairs and go rolling along on the floor like big fat helpless babies lol. omg funny... but kinda sad too when I think about it :/
oh and I liked the little indestructible cockroach, and the kickbutt attitude of the girl robot was funny
cute robots + cute robot love + cute cockroach + massively obese and lazy people = funnyz
but, desolate trashed earth + lonely little robot + super fat people in space = sad outlook on the future
besides being funny, it taught a good lesson too

Re: WALL-E
He is cute, though. Very cute.
What surprised me the most was the amount of emotion that could be understood without the use of words. I mean, there's no dialogue through half of the movie. I thought it was fascinating and I'd watch it again and again and again. I think some people just wanted more action when it's not really necessary.Originally posted by j-rodd123wowComment

Re: WALL-E
great movie
surprisingly a lot of adult themes in it, watching a kiddie movie when you're old is fun because you notice things like that
on the thread note, Walle-E kicks ass so go and see it, but you have to see it with a girl or else you are gayComment

Re: WALL-E
A Bug's Life
However, there is Antz,
which is not Pixar.
EDIT: If Bug's Life is your favorite pixar film you need to rethink your life.

Re: WALL-E
Yeah... I absolutely loved the clever mixture of real-life clips such as the dancing scene Wall-E was obsessed with or the CEO of BnL's messages. The depiction of our future world... rofl.
brb going to plant some pizza
edit: oh yeah and what is up with all these animated space movies recently... after Wall-E there's gonna be Space Chimps and Fly Me to the Moon o_OLast edited by smartdude1212; 06-30-2008, 05:22 AM.Comment

Re: WALL-E
Uh, hands down my favorite film this year. I saw it twice, plan on seeing it again.
EDIT: It almost made me cry several times."A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
My new novel:
Maledictions: The Offering.
