Hell, I read the manga that's currently out before watching all thirteen plus the OVA episodes. Still think that the concept is amazing.

Most brutal manga/anime you will ever read/watch. Just think of heads, getting ripped off. Actually, if you've ever read or watched GANTS then just picture that with naked chicks :S

There isn't a movie.

But yeah, if you're into violence and nudity you should watch it.
Every episode delivers just that.

Hell, the first couple minutes of the first episode we see many people brutally killed by a naked chick.

I saw a amv of Elfen Lied and all I said was "What the ****?!"

One part, I see a girl getting her legs sawded off by a gatling gone and I said "Well, pretty sure we know she dies!"

Fun. It's been a long time since I watched this anime.

I like the father/professor the best (forgot name). The one that suicides with his daughter on the bridge someplace.

No he wants to go away with his daughter so they can finally be together since the girl's birth, but the corrupt scientist follows his orders instead of letting them go and activates the bombs inside Mirako's body.

I think the bomb is in the cripple girl with orange hair. Proffesor sort of commited suicide by knowing he was going to die. I think he did it so the other girl could live.
