    Re: Well well well

Hmm, apparently turning on Dark and Hidden removes most of the sputter lag that I've been getting in the standalone window.

On windows 7 all you have to do is change your theme to windows classic.

I'm on Windows XP, not Windows 7.

Change your colour to 16bit, use stand alone. This WILL remove all issues. Any other issues are related to your CPU being too busy.

What about hardware acceleration display options? Would turning those down help at all?

            (EDIT)

I followed your suggestion, and needless to say, it worked like a charm. Though I'm still playing on low quality with Dark and Hidden active, my accuracy has drastically improved due to the sputter lag reduction:

Gonna have those two saved for a while until I get more impressive replays. :P

              Re: Well well well

I think there was something about right clicking when starting up FFR and unchecking the 'Enable hardware acceleration' box that went along with other recommendations to reduce lag.

My windows XP desktop that is left at home with my family while I'm off in the military has Flash 9 still with a 2.0 single core GHz processor/1.5 GB RAM/160GB HD/some ****ty graphics card; and that still runs FFR very well, virtually perfect at low quality lol.

I just know that so far with my computer:

              i3 370M processor
              Intel HD graphics card
              4GB RAM
              500 GB HD space
              Windows 7

I'm always using an Aero theme with max graphic settings with FFR lagging every once in a while.

Gamebooster eliminates almost all lag that occurs when I'm heavily multitasking and is only truly needed to play under those circumstances on my machine.

But even computers built the same way seem to run into different problems it seems, hopefully you and others find the ways to continue playing FFR and anything else that runs in Flash without laggy hindrances.
