well, when Liz bought me one, Tass said Jason does it manually, but that's for gift subbys. When you buy your own, I think it's automated, mine took a week because i live in canada though.

Probably yes. Normal subscriptions are automated, gift subscriptions are manually put through, just be patient, the time on it won't start deducting until it's activated.
