you could just edit your post and say multiple things in your one post rather than post whoring.
whats the point in posting 3 times in a row when you could just fit it in one post.

Can give you a bad reputation, and also may give some people pleasure in spamming heaps of posts, which pisses everyone else off.

Ah, ok. I get it, but it doesn't bother me too much. hehe.

People prob also do it to get their post counts up too huh? (as if that is something to be proud of?)

I think the main thing about it is post count, but I've always kind of wondered this too ^_^

          And, welcome =)

Um, any multi-posters automatically give me the impression of "idiot"

Re: Why is double/triple/etc. posting bad?

When you make a post and then realize a mistake or want to add on/subtract from what you said, you should edit. The only time I ever double-post is when the thread has not moved since I posted in it but I want to make a post unrelated to my last. Then the thread is bumped (indicating new discussion) and my two separate ideas are, well, separate.

Re: Why is double/triple/etc. posting bad?

Because double/triple posting is bad thing and It will be consider as spam and on worst case you get BANNED (well that's what other forums says of where I am member of). And we all know that spam = very bad thing to do. There's an edit button invented so use that instead of double/triple posting.

Also there's one thing you maybe need to know. If someone doesn't reply to your post right away, and instead of doing double/triple posting to get them answer... don't do it. Just wait. Wait 'till somebody replies to them, 'cause eventually someone WILL surely reply, but just give it time. An friendly advice.

Same. I only double post upon the situation of an elapsed time period and a seperate thought comes to mind.
