Hey. I joined a few weeks ago and haven't really been on the forums much. Just wanted to introduce myself. I play FFR with one hand and have been practicing as much as i can. I can generally do upto difficult but i have beaten a few above that. I play at 1.25-1.5x usually. If anyone has any tips i will welcome the advice :P

Here's the best way (the way most players play) :

Left: Left arrow.
Down: Down Arrow
Up: 8 on Numerical Pad
Right:6 on Numerical Pad

You'll get way better. Trust me.

There are some pretty good one-handers on FFR, but using two hands is the most ideal way.

Yeah, i tried the whole playing with two hands thing, and i frickin love it lol - it makes things so much easier on me.. well not easier per say, it just feels more right haha. Thankssss!!!

Ive tried two hands here and there, but i still cant seem get into any sort of rhythm but i'll try to keep at it untill i get some progress with it. I'll probably still use one hand alot though :/

Well, one handing isn't horrible, there are good players who do it, but it's FAR EASIER to learn how to play with two hands or spread or index, and there are certain patterns in certain songs which I'm pretty sure are insane to do with only one hand. Jumpstreams are going to be hell for you if you one-hand things.

EDIT: The one thing hard about learning two hands is that often your non-index fingers can be hard to work together correctly. You'll get more notes at first, but have less Perfects. You just have to develop stronger fingers.
