    also, I used to drum for DCI (drum corp) so I know all about rhythm, and following the beat. Just gotta get the patterns down it seems

      well congrats on the FC, and just try different playing styles, youll find yours eventually, i personally play one handed with my index finger on lefy my middle on up and my ring on right, but i doubt you needed that info if youve alredy FCed a song =]

        I wouldn't do songs that are too fast for you, I would just do songs that you can do, and you will gradually get better

          One that has helped with faster songs is looking at only half the screen while playing. Like you can scroll down until you only see the bottom half if your playing with the arrows coming downward. This will most likely make your reaction faster as well as force yourself to only look at small chunks of arrows.

          Like I used to play looking at the whole screen on songs where the arrows weren't that close but, when I started playing songs with a lot of yellow arrows close together, playing with half the screen helped a lot. I guess just looking at small sections of arrows helps you recognize the pattern better rather than trying to decipher the pattern when looking at a mass of arrows.

            And yet, screencutting makes me lose, hard. Diffrent strokes for Different folks, I guess.

            I'd say give all the different pieces of advice a fair try, discard the ones that don't help, embrace the ones that do.
