Why would you copy the text of the superior, longer established and most importantly: already stickied thread into this one? Can we get this thing closed or something?

Yes, I think this should deserve a sticky. The information in this thread isn't the best, and could use pictures and more explaining, but the link to the other thread for our ffr "Scoring Lingo" is very useful.

I'd suggest making it just a little bit bigger. And maybe advising people to go there in case they are confused.

      Good job though.

*sigh* If the information isn't the best, and could use something that other mor informative stickies already have, please tell me how "My crappy thread links to the good thread" deserves a sticky, when the good thread already has a sticky?

Because the other sticky is in a different section of the forums. Either move that sticky to this section (if possible), the newbie forum, or just copy it into this section and sticky it. If neither is possible, or nobody wants to take the time to do it, then I'd just suggest making a link. It's a lot simpler, and having this thread stickied will make the link used more often.

I'm glad that you posted your thoughts, but if you start posting just because you are bored, then it will eventually lead to spam. Also, please try to use correct grammar a little more often. I don't want to nag, but it's just useful practice, and it helps people understand what you're trying to say. Sometimes, what you mean and what you say could really cause a commotion.

Then there's the point that stickies are rarely even read to begin with.

But, in the rare chance that a newbie does read the sticky, at least they will be pointed towards a thread that will obviously help them greatly, especially if they wish to spend time on the forums. Some newbies are not always the incompetent bottom dwellers that we think them to be. Some have had experience with previous forums, and would therefore notice whether some threads have or have not been declared "More important than the others", via sticky. Some might be college graduates. I highly doubt that they would just wonder the forums mindlessly without a clue of what they are suppose to do or look at.

I would love to continue and argue about this, as I love a good debate, but I have to go lurk another thread or two. Once my statements have been made in those threads, I have a life to live, unfortunately enough.

I love how that is -always- the implication of people who want to try and assert their superiority on a forum.

                      Re: FFR Scoring Lingo

Yeah, it pretty much is. Because, I like talking and arguing on the forums, but most of the time, it's because I have nothing else to do. When something else occurs, or when I have the chance to do that, I will most likely choose that over this. And, I have no authority over the forums. None whatsoever. I just have my opinion to voice, which might or might not affect what others (who do have authority) will choose to do.

Also, I'm glad I don't have authority in this forums, because if that were the case, I would most likely try to use it correctly, and would end up causing more trouble than I should. That would not happen in the first place, though, since I'm pretty sure most admins or anyone in charge would check and make sure that whoever is given power will use it correctly.

I'm just some kid who would love's to argue a point, whether or not it is important or not, right or wrong. If anyone has a problem with that, tell me. If anyone thinks I'm a nuisance, tell an admin or forum mod, and have them ban me. Sorry if I cause any trouble or commotion.
