    FFR Scoring Lingo

Ok since theres been like 100 threads that ask what is a AAA or a Boo Flag or a Black Flag, I've decided to make this thread. I looked to see if there where any threads like this in the Newbie Forum and I didn't find any. So here we go:

    Key: Red is the Question
Black is the answer or description
    Blue is the example

    What is a "AAA"?
    - When you get all perfects and nothing else. (You get no Misses, Boos, Goods, or Averages)
    - Some songs you will automatically get a couple of Good. This is caused by 4-framers, 3-framers, 2-framers, and 1-framers. For more info on that check out this thread: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=37697

    Ex. (900 perfects - 0 goods - 0 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is a AAA.
    (900 perfects - 0 goods - 2 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is not a AAA.

    What is a "Boo Flag"?
    - When you get 1 boo and nothing else. (You get no Goods, Averages, or Misses)

    Ex. (0 goods - 0 averages - 0 misses - 1 boos) is a boo flag.
    (0 goods - 1 averages - 0 misses - 1 boos) is not a boo flag.

    What is "Perfect Attack" (PA)?
-When you have a good ratio of Perfects to Goods. (Perfect : Goods)
Ex. (1000 perfects - 17 goods) is having good PA.
(1000 perfects - 300 goods) is not having good PA.

    What is a "Black Flag"?
    - When you get 1 good and nothing else. (No Misses, Averages, or Boos)
    - Some people also consider 1 good and 1 boo a Black Flag (No Misses or Averages), and other may not.

    Ex. (1 goods - 0 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is a black flag.
    (1 goods - 0 averages - 0 misses - 1 boos) is a black flag
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
*** DEPENDS IF YOU CONSIDER 1 BOO AND 1 GOOD A BLACK FLAG ***
    (2 goods - 0 averages - 1 misses - 0 boos) is not a black flag.

What is a "Single Digit Good" (SDG)?
    - When you get 9 or less Goods. (You get no Misses, or Averages, or Boos)

    Ex. (6 goods - 0 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is a SDG
    (12 goods- 0 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is not a SDG

    What is a "Full Combo"?
    - When you do not miss a note. You hit every note.

    Ex. (800 perfects - 66 goods - 1 averages - 0 misses - 4 boos) is a Full Combo.
    (800 perfects - 23 goods - 0 averages - 3 misses - 2 boos) is not a Full Combo.

What is a "Average - Miss"?
    - When you get a boo, miss, and average at the same time.
    - Sometimes you will only get a Miss and a Average.
-If you hit a note way late ( late enough to get a good) on a 5-frame jack, you can average - miss.
    - This occurs on framers (4, 3, 2, and 1-framers.)

    Ex. (900 perfects - 10 goods - 1 averages - 1 misses - 1 boos) is a average miss.
    (900 perfects - 10 goods - 6 averages - 0 misses - 0 boos) is not a average miss.

If you have any other questions or if you see any mistakes or you wanna add something to the post just post what you wanna say in this thread and I will add it. Thanks

I think if you hit a note way late (like late enough to get a good) on a 5-frame jack, you can av-miss also, no?

Well done, liquid. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of pointless threads in the Newbie Forum.

Also an SDG isn't -just- "Having 1-9 goods"

It is only an SDG if it would otherwise be a AAA. It's like, one step down from a Blackflag.

He linked to an existing, older, already stickied thread that contained all the information he gave, plus more. This by no means needs a sticky.

I only made this thread in the Newbie forum to stop 100000 threads being created in the newbie forum. I know there is one in the r1 general talk forum but just thought it would be nice for the newbie forum...really dont care if this is stickied or not...

Be easy enough to crosslink the thread, or to realise that newbies don't read stickies anyway.

I suggested that the new members be linked to the rules thread as opposed to the index so they could actually read the rules. Just about everyone else agreed.

The Admins, however, didn't even bother to view the thread before it died out.

Motion to copy the pitcur dictionary across into here aswell.

No offense but pitcures express what your saying so much more clearly. That and its really well written.

Then agian it probably wont be read. bah, idk.
