You should really avoid it if at all possible. Usually treating the forums like a chat room will make people mad. You might be able to get away with it over at http://www.omgdidinsane.com though.

First, you save a picture of peter griffin to your desktop. Then you go under User CP above. Then, on the left, click on update avatar (or something like that) Then, you use the browse button at the bottom of the screen and find the picture. Then you save it and there is your avatar.
