    MP Level.

If it's a simple and obvious question, sorry. How do you know when you will go to the next level? I am on level 2, when will I know when I am getting close to the next level?

    Re: MP Level.

there is a bar below your overall score, in the rectangle above the MP window (aka, at the bottom of the regular window).

The levels get geometrically harder to go up (it might be exponentially), so it is pretty easy to go up early on. Once you hit 8 or 10, it gets much harder.

Actually, Tass, I'm pretty sure you just go up based on how many levels above or below you the person you played was. The only harder part about gaining levels when you're higher is that you have to play higher leveled people, who are harder to beat.

O snap... Shash is WRONG. Ask LD about it. He set MP up just like the Halo2 level system.

Also, in the database, it is all based off of exp. Certain exp to get to a certain level, certain exp given for each match won and lost based on your level and the level of your opponent (just like Halo2). I know this because on the VERY FIRST day MP was released, I kept asking LD how close I was to being #1 overall... and he kept telling me my exp vs the #1 guy's exp.

            Re: MP Level.

The system has changed since the day MP was released because people like ddrzone would beat level 1's all day and get to level 47 or whatever.

Now I'm almost certain it's based on %, especially since I've seen the page where the level is stored and I didn't see anything about exp, only MP level and next level %.

            I could be wrong though.

geh. so, perhaps then, we're both right.... cause I know that a year ago when it was released it was based off of the Halo2 leveling system.

                    Re: MP Level.

i'm guessing MP stands for multiplayer? may explain why i'm still at 1 (1100 games later. . .lol).
nother question similar to this. . .
                    rank.
why is it that i still suck at the game, and have only been playing for a bit less then 3 months. . .and yet i'm at 10,400 in rank? i've seen other people's profiles, and they're playing much, much more difficult songs then i can do. . .and yet they'll be at like 300,000+ in rank.
is it just based off of the number of games you play, along with your total score?
                    thnx.

                      Re: MP Level.

Rank = Grand Total Score compared to other member's scores.

They might play harder songs, but if you play more often than they do, then your score goes up faster.

                      In theory, anyway.

                          Re: MP Level.

                          lmao i'm such a noob!
just played my first few multi player games.

                          game 1:
didn't know what to expect. the song started, and i was still watching the bottom screen (with the chat). . .lost misserably.
                          game 2:
i had no idea what side my arrows were. . .i missed like 20 arrows (on a slow, and very easy song) lol kept watch my opponents side of the screen. . .but about 1/4'th the way through the song i figured things out. but it's weird having 2 sets of arrows on the playing feild and would miss once in awhile on doubles (2 arrows at the same time) thinking the second arrow was my opponent's arrow. lmao. . .don't ask me how, but i won this game.
                          game 3:
soul shift (he didn't want to play secret zombie room, cause it was too tough for him) won this one too. . .lol but i was missing arrows left and right. (god. . .it's gonna take a bit of time to get use to the 2 sets of arrows on the screen at once.
                          game 4:
he wanted me to play crystals in the arcade section. i've never played it. . .and it said it was a very challenging song. so i told him i wouldn't do it. . .waaay over my head. lol logged off of multi player, tried out crystals, and found out it's a really easy song.

lol i got alot to learn.
but it was fun. . .i enjoyed making a fool of myself! lol

1 quick question (don't want to make a whole new post for it).
does it automaticly wager a certian amount of credits each game? cause it wasn't letting me say how much i wanted to wager, nor did it show me how much the wager was before the song.
it was the main reason i quit on crystals. . .i kinda figured the guy i was playing, was just giving me the other games. . .and was trapping me into an extremely hard song, to take all my credits away.

. . .lol i wanted to give ffr a break for a few days. . .now i'm gonna get addicted to the multi player!

                          thnx.

you can screencut in MP so that you only see your own arrows... makes it harder to select songs, but MUCH easier to play the songs. never have to worry about the other person's arrows. then again, you also can't see their combo or if they've quit... *shrugs*

also, MP is not for credits. the challenge system is the only one with wagering. MP is not the same as challenges.
