the smallest unit that can evolve is a population...individuals cannot evolve...eggs can be evolved form thier parents, but this will not be significant, evolution takes many years...mutations can occur that form drastic changes in an individual, but it is likely that the alellic frequencies will not change

Im positive the egg came first. According to darwins theory of evolution a chicken like creature layed the egg. The DNA mutated inside the egg as part of the evolution of the chicken. When the egg hatched the new mutated form of the chicken like creature was born which was infact what we know today as a chicken. simple i know

No, the chicken came first. When life started, it was simply one celled organisms. Those evolved into multi-cell, and thus forth into egg laying creatures. The creature would have to evolve into an egg laying being before the egg can be laided, therefor, chicken before egg.

But seriously guys, this is a trivial topic that is inevitably unprovable, you might as well argue religion, it'll get you nowhere. But scrambled eggs are good....... quiet ran.Comment

Yes,there's no end to this topic. It can't be proven and everyone refuses to change their opinions and therefore we are at a standstill.
But I'd have to say the egg since the chicken did propably evolve from some other creature. If fedex and ups merged theyd be fedup
*sarcastic laugh* fine Ill shutupComment
