Off topic but UFOs don't always mean aliens. I do not believe there have been any life from space that has traveled in our solar system because of the fact a lot of telescopes could have easily seen them (Infrared, x-ray, etc. Something would have picked them up). But I do believe there is other life on other planets outside our solar system. There's billions of stars that are similar to ours which can have the potential to create life. It's just a matter of having the organic elements and right conditions.

Back to topic: I really hate when people say "I can't explain it, but I know *blank* exists". I don't understand the point of posting that.

yeah, im sorry for that, i blanked and took a jab at what the topic was lol

but yeah, back on topic sorta, since this is a critical thinking forum, all our arguments *should* be backed up by at least some factual basis

I'm fairly certain it's not real. They're usually psychological illusions, as there is a huge lack of evidence to support it. Other times it is likely pure chance that it turned out that way, and if you are suggestable to the idea of paranormal activity, you interpret something completely normal as paranormal.

Actually, you're totally wrong.

There's a TON of evidence for light being BOTH a particle AND a wave.

yep that's the main thing. Evidence. I don't need a lot of evidence though lol. All I need is a ghost story that sounds reasonable and I would believe almost 100% of it, unless if it was a little altered and I knew that it was lol.

I can see that, very easily in fact. Normally i would ask why it would be a problem revealing your religion. However i found that many people here prejudge me as it is and with them knowing that i am mormon they automatically discount things i say in the Creationist/Evolutionist/homosexuality debates. This i fear is because of the preconceived notion that all religiously believing people are close-minded. Ok wow, time to get off of this huge tangent i went on.

Usually Paranormal Activity comes from a small amount of information thats new mixed with at least the smallest belief in it, if it isnt entirely based on new information that is.

Paranormal Activity is probably real, but it's simple to hoax. Movies and television shows are definitaly overstating the so called truth for our entertainment. Of course there are thousands of pictures and footage of paranormal activity, and there is pages of 'evidence' pertaining to hauntings and ghosts of some sort, but their not 100% sure..yet.

Indeed, the media is always making ghost shows. They're usually pretty good, but somehow a lot of what they talk about in them doesn't seem right. For one, because noone really knows what HAPPENS after you die or whatever.

I'm Mormon too I'm happy that I'm not alone on FFR.

First of all dont double post, its just plain annoying.
Second of all, i wouldnt recommend revealing too much about yourself ESPECIALLY in the critical thinking forums cause like i said it leads to prejudgements. So unless you are ready to deal with the onslaught of people more than willing to use the ever popular ignorant card on you then you should probably keep quiet about it for a while.
Lastly, this thread is getting a little pointless because there is pretty much no progression taking place.
