That's true, but see my post before yours (post #28). It all seems to generate a bit of an oddity: you cannot in practice rent a car but you can own one, even though ownership requires more responsibility.

It seems to me as if the rental car gets in an accident, the rental company puts the car in its own hands, and they trust that people in the official adult age won't get in such accidents. That's why I'm asking that they come up with a better system for people that want to rent a car. I could drive throughout my entire teenage life and not get in an accident, and when I turn 21, I could total my car.

Instead of saying that only mature "adults" can drive, they should make the car buyer responsible.

Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, I have a cold right now and it's f*cking with my head. I'll stop posting for now.

It isnt' an oddity. When you rent something to someone with higher risk, you make less profit in the long term. When you sell something to someone you make the same profit regardless of their risk of tearing it up.

Assuming money and logistics aren't factor, it's easier to buy something than it is to rent something.

Yes, that part I understand, but the end result is still odd: we live in a world where an 18-year-old can own a car but not rent one, even though owning a car requires more responsibility.

Okay, it's odd, maybe even a little ironic, but so what? It happens all the time.

Think of it like a resume.
First of all, history is effectively no indication of the future.
Secondly, that's STILL a horrible system of selecting customers.

With the legal system and property protection, these companies can do what they want, even require that you have to be forty to rent a car. It doesn't matter if you don't like it. They shouldn't have to allow certain people to drive, even if those people have immaculate driving practices.

As has been said in the other thread, age is THE BEST way to draw a line. You really aren't going to come up with a better (and still feasible) means of risk analysis.

Wait a sec... so the girl wanted to be peed on?

Was the guy like "Hey can I pee on you?" and she said yes?

That's the only thing I could think of honestly XD. I don't know why should would want to get peed on anyways. If she thinks getting peed on is sexy she's just weird.

Some people get sexual pleasure from human feces. There are a lot of weird people on the face of the planet.
