Flame wars. There is a difference between civilized arguments and flaming. Arguments are usually targeted at someone's ideas, flames are usually targeted at a person themselves. Though light flaming is allowed, verbally abusing a person is not tolerated on these forums. Most flame wars continue simply because other people take sides and jump in on the flaming, and if this happens, the topic will definitely be locked. If you have personal issues with someone else, please take it to PM/AIM.

Disrespect. Disrespect of any member will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, racial remarks, excessively making fun of a member, starting flame wars, etc.

Posting offensive content. This includes pornography of any kind, disturbing images (if it makes you want to look away, it's disturbing), really gory stuff, very offensive language, goatse, tubgirl, harlequin fetus, etc. Use common sense and decide if it's something that other people would honestly want to see without going out of their way to find it.

Summary: everyone shut the hell up; if this topic gets any worse it gets the axe and the lot of you get warnings.

Now try to have a civil discussion without racism or flaming.

No, most of the people stuck in the city are poor and had neither the means to leave the city, nor the money to be able too.

Imagine: You are given a 24 hour notice to leave your house. That is all. You dont have a car, and public transportation has been shut down. There isnt anyone you can turn to to help you evacuate the city. Not to mention, you'd be leaving everything you ever owned behind. You've lived through a hurricane before and survived. So staying in the city doesnt seem like that crazy of an idea.

They are the ones who failed to acknowledge the evacuation warning so they can stay behind and loot stores.

Who can blame them? After living through hell on Earth, wouldnt you want a 43' flat screen TV that would go great in your non-existing house which was destroyed by the hurricane? I know I would. Forget the fact that'd you'd be starving, thirsty, and terrified because there is no help anywhere.
I know I can't wait until the big earthquake hits California! I better get my looting gear ready!

Nobody likes black people because they do nothing but burden society and cause problems, so maybe that's why they took their sweet time helping them. That's just my theory.

I wish there was a hurricane so big, all the minorites (including the Irish and the French...and the Italians) of the world would be blown away. Then only white people would be left. The world would be so peaceful...because white people never do anything wrong. Everyone is always talking about how terrible Hitler was, but he was a true humanitarian, eliminating the world's problems one Jew at a time.

If you think about it, George W. Bush is a great humanitarian too. Not only did he start a war based around the killing of Arabs, but he also is ignoring the suffering to thousands and thousands of black people! If it werent for the liberal media, GWB probably wouldn't have done anything! That's why I hate liberals...they are always talking about "equality" and "peace." They are so stupid. Don't the realize the only way to achieve peace is to kill all the minorities...kill them all, spare no nigger, kyke, spic, wop, chink, towel-head, etc...now that's what I call equality.

I could go on-and-on about how much I hate minorities and think they should die, but I'll save my ignorance for the next Klan meeting, I hope to see you there "virus-maker."

You got called racist because you are. You got called a Nazi because they were intolerant to certain groups of people (Jewish, homosexuals) unfairly. You would have to be pretty damn poor to not own any type of automobile, and most warnings come more than 24 hours before the actual hurricane. And for the people who don't own cars, why didn't the mayor of New Orleans authorize the use of these school buses to get them to safety, before the hurricane came in?

My deepest apologies for my "racist" statement. Let me correct it. I should of said "The majority of black people burden society and cause problems." Sorry I didn't word it correctly. And there is nothing racist about that, it has been proven by the FBI and other organizations.

Many of the people that stayed behind had vehicles and were warned ahead of time. So what explanation do you have, if they didn't stay behind to loot? And having a house is not necessary to spend $1,000+ in stolen money.

I was originally going to come in here and say why do people only ever complain about the president. Congress is never troublesome, even though altogether, they probably have much mroe power than the president does. But then I read what a craphole this turned into and decided not to.

Given we're in Critical Thinking (as several of you were quick to point out when it was convenient for you), I would expect the lot of you would have at least half a brain and know that flaming is against the rules and not do it. Maybe even a full one that would enable to debate offensive/flaming users in a calm manner.

But instead I see stuff like "assbag" and suggestions to drown in one's own urine. Guess it was just wishful thinking, eh?

(On a side note, I edited out Skooter's "Stop being gay." comment. Nice double standard you got going there. Insults based on sexual preference are a grand old time, but watch out when someone's racist onoz!)
