If you're worried about it being messy get a soft shell taco, and if the person making them doesn't wrap em neatly do it like this, fold in the bottom and then fold the right flap over and the then the left flap over that and roll it....

God I just went to a side of crazy thats beyond me...

And how Mexican's usually make theirs is they take the soft shell tortilla's usually corn ones, put them over an open flame, burn them slightly then put so much stuff on them that they almost burst at the seams.

And lots of hot sauce (the real hot sauce, and not the liquid)

mexican tacos dont ever use ground beef ever. also they dont use any form of shell tortilla they just use tortillas. the content of a taco varies depending on whats at hand.

Eating it takes a little big of practice, but generally this is how:

Bend your head 45 degrees to the opposite side of your dominant hand (tilt your head to the left if you're right handed).
Hold the taco from the opposite end, using your palm to cover the opening (so it doesn't leak, or spill; you can just wipe your hands off after).
Tilt the taco 45 degrees in the direction of your dominant hand.
Bring the taco to your mouth.
Close your mouth.
???
Profit.

P.S. Eat from the top down so stuff doesn't fall all over the place. And hold it lightly, or you'll just break the shell.

Back home a few minutes from the border, this is how me and my friends do tacos ;3

- Soft taco: tortillas, fried slightly for a bit of crisp
- mixture of ground beef and mexican chorizo
- homemade red salsa
- Homeade salsa verde
- Mexican styled rice
- Refried beans
- Corn
- Onion
- bit of lettuce
- Homemade corn tortilla chips crushed up into pieces and layered on top
- few random types of cheese

Tastes amazing <3

Edit: forgot we add a bit of steak to it as well some days. Tastes even better :P
