Entire animation department was cut, so I'm out of the job =(
Got a severance package, and pto accrual payments which came out to a little under $10k, also getting unemployment benefits and crap, but god dammit, job hunting sucks.

Pretty bummed about it and thought it was an excellent idea to post about it on FFR derp.

It happened yesterday morning, so last night I got drunk off my ass and did what this thread is titled.

They cut the entire animation department because they're discontinuing the DVD packages with the products. Economy sucks etc.

Not ****ing going back to Dominos if my life depended on it.

I was indeed already hunting around for a new job, so my resume and portfolio are pretty damn up to date except for 2 or 3 things.

Severance package was just money and they let me keep my medical and dental for 3 more months which is pretty sweet. They're totally cool with putting in good words for references and everything too, so hopefully I'll find a new job decently soon.

BUT.

I'm going to Kauai and Maui in September, so I'm taking a ****ing vacation until my vacation, bitches. I'm still going to pull like $2800 a month from unemployment.

Unemployment amount is dependent on how much you make in the first place. They give you roughly half. So if you're working at KFC making 7.25 an hour, I can assure you you won't be getting $2800 a month.
