Why do people do this. Why are you trying to rebut a claim that he never made.

I'm fully confident that kommiser understands that our date-time system is developed from the time it takes to orbit the sun.

He made the claim that time is 'man's illusion' when in fact it's a legitimate measurement?

think of an ant for example, there whole lifespan is a LOT shorter than a humans, so they definitely don't experience time the same way we do.

A second on Earth is a second no matter if you're a 150 year old tortoise or a 3 minute old ant.

Well yes, but were talking about 2 different things now though, Iwas just pointing out that not all creatures experience time the same. A second is a second yes but a second could feel like a day or so for an ant.

Your logic is extremely bad. 1 second feels like a day to nothing. The only way this happens is if you're comatose for 10 years and you get out of it thinking 10 minutes passed by, not the other way around.

EDIT: a whole ant year has gone by in the time it took me to respond to that post!

Anyway, in response to 3lijah. Being Atheist doesn't depress me because "oh noez there's nothing after this". Most Atheists, including myself, use this to make every second of our life as enjoyable as possible and more valuable. Christians don't seem to live their life nearly as much. They spend a huge amount of time praying and going to church. They don't have as much fun because it could be a "sin". It seems as if they think of this life as their time to worship their way into becoming good enough to go to heaven.

I personally prefer to live the life I KNOW exists, than to hope I will go to an unrealistic place that isn't guaranteed. I also wouldn't worship someone that has the power to fix every problem in the world, yet sits back to let people suffer, starve, get raped, etc.
