Yeah, they're easy to install. Just SATA interfaces for both data and power. Looks just like a normal hardrive.

      Figured I'd throw in an updates. Some of the parts are here already;

I changed the case, the fans, and the PSU.

HD is now a Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB.

As you can see I went with the 2500K and will OC. Did not go with a SSD atm. Might consider it in the future, but for now I'm just going to concentrate on this build.

Just waiting on my 6950, the ram and cooler (stock for now )

Technically AMD bought over ATI so not much wrong referring to them as AMD GPUs :/

More pics please when you receive everything else (!)

Depending on the OS you have. Most likely it wont matter how much Ramm you have after 4gb. Most OS wont go over 4gb, so id worry more about ramm speed than size

Just waiting on the card. argggggggggg

Chip is amazing though. 5.0 Ghz here, but temps aren't so great so keeping it at 4.5 stable now lol

                    IT HAS COMPLETE

                    Stable @ 4.5 Ghz. Card is stable @ 6970. It's the biggest Mother F'r I've ever seen.

3dmark vantage P24694, GPU and CPU running very close to even!

Video cards are getting stupid big

Worst trend ever, I could barely fit a GTX260 in my nearly full-size tower.

Even worse is the cpu heat sink sizes (btw yeah that heat sink is effing massive)

Did you have any trouble getting it to run through POST?

My p8p67 would sometimes hang on the RAM check and end up resetting back to default settings until I updated the bios.

                            No problems, really iirc.

Flashing was weird; had to use usb drive with DOS. It wouldn't work in windows. Well worth it though, since gpu mark went from 18000 to almost 25000 on the same card. ;o

Realized I could save on heating bill, since I heated the entire house up @ 5 ghz, which was kind of ridiculous. temps were definitely too high but @ 4.5 it runs very nice, 24/7 stable. cpu probably runs fine @ 5 ghz and even higher if you're liquid cooling though; the 2500K is a very nice chip!

Going to start reinstalling programs and games and enjoy the shit out of this. old pc was 2.0 ghz duo core, 8600 GT that can't even handle SC2 on medium settings. Hell, I can't even play shit like Crysis 2 on lowest, so good riddins. It was pretty good when I first got it though! (4 years ago).

Now I can play everything on all maxed settings with capped FPS.

pretty cool spec, sandy bridge is a win.

and it looks 650W power supply is enough for that PC.
