Yeah, this computer is full of win. Just finished getting everything reinstalled and all that jazz. Woo, ;D

I got a new 24" Asus VW246H monitor to go with it. It is very badass.

    Everything is so crisp @ 1920 x 1080

And the PC is lightning fast. It makes all the difference in the world. Capped the framerate on maxed settings in Crysis 2 while leaving a ton of shit open on my desktop >_>

Only complaint I can possibly think of is that it's a wee bit noisy. Think it's the card, but it doesn't really matter. Can't hear it when there's sound on.

      Sweet rig.

But yeah I hate that video cards are just getting larger and bulkier.

It's also sad that my uber-rig, that could obliterate anything you threw at it, is now outdated. It's disgusting how quickly technology improves. 1920*1080 amazing, though. Will never go back to anything smaller.

It doesn't look like you could fit another 120 on the heatsink due to the mobos mini heatsink around the back of the socket area. If you can set up a push/pull config using dual 120's on that heatsink you will notice another drop in temps. I have the last rev. of the i5 (the 750 quad)
I use the Thermaltake Frio cooler with dual 120s in push/pull. It dropped my temps a good 10 degrees at idle unclocked. I did push it up to 3.8(from 2.66) with a stable prime 95 over 12 hours never passed 60 C Its thermal cap is like 72.7 C!!! The 2500 is atleast 10-20% more efficient in OC'ing. You, my friend, have a GREAT cpu.

Now, I am not sure if you are interested in pushing it to the limit, but, check to see if your card is supported by rivatuner. (yeah its nvidia based, but, they do have ati support) I OC'd my 250gt series and achieved a 20% boost in GPU performance. No temp change due to me setting the fan @ 100%. Just make sure you take it up in steps and every 3-5 steps you take up test a game for "artifacts" if you see artifacts step it back down a few

Either way that rig makes me want to get a bridge. Nice build and decent cable management. Thank you for posting

This makes me want to build another super-rig.

This time, though, I'm going watercooling. There's too much damn dust in my current jet-turbine-fffffffff rig

Well, the GPU is flashed, which gave it a 30% boost in performance. Temps are stable, and no artifacts.

The chip is amazing. My core temps are sitting @ about 27-29C idle @ 4.5 ghz OC with ram OC, with the 212+ on low.

Heavy gaming brings it up to 34-39 max...it's VERY stable. I don't seriously see any heat problems on this build whatsoever until about 4.7-4.8 ghz, when things start to get a little hot. 5.0 ghz is a little crazy, but my chip could easily handle it with a better cooler.

It's a pretty good time to build an uber, because of the sandy bridge. It's such a ****ing cheap processor, yet amazing. It is pretty much par with the 990x, which is lmao worthy (It'll actually match or beat it in terms of gaming...which is sad).

However, I feel the dust pain. I have wood floor, but have to vacuum it like every couple of days to watch for dust, and I'll be dusting this machine every week or two.

edit: also, with regards to the SSD

My load times are negligible for everything with this drive as it is. My system boots in less than 20 seconds, and games load almost instantly. I timed Starcraft 2, it loads in 3 seconds, on ultra/extreme. Crysis 2 loads in like 5. Photoshop CS4 loads in 4 seconds

            etc

I'm definitely waiting for an SSD then, because...I don't seriously see the point atm with a build like when I know the prices will go down ridiculously far if I get one in like 2 years.

Case pics (Turned out nice, IMO)

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
                "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.
