-OD former member, current observer, haru something... (Explained to me about what was up with QED during OD 5 submission period, let me know what he knew. Also a guy who was crossplaying as a schoolgirl, lol, but yea)

It's not actually him of course, it's just someone who looks kinda similar. So it's only tangentially related to kilga, but I love excuses to post that vid.

You realize it's highly entertaining to get him all worked up over stepmania right? I could care less about his files. He just HAS to defend everything about them and that's what makes it funny.

It really does, if that guy shaved and put on a touhou costume I would've thought it was Kilga himself.

I have mixed feelings about that panel. I ended up doing exactly what I was trying to avoid, and that was to be entirely passive aggressive. I'm only human though, so at this point I could care less for others' criticism. Unless you're willing to put that energy into complimenting my work as you do trolling, I won't bother considering it.

Aside from that, I did upset him in the end. By the time the completely disorganized workshop was over, I had made him look like a nervous noob, which is somewhat over the top of my original goal. It was really annoying to see him promote stepmania in such a primitive way though.

His moral from the panel was to be creative and be intuitive. He explained there are two kinds of simfile artists, technical and creative. I'll just leave it to you to realize how wrong that is. He was also very unprepared, starting the workshop 15 minutes late due to "technical difficulties" and was completely unprofessional in speaking. Half the questions he received he didn't know the answer to, and I decided to answer them. This eventually irritated him because I "took over" his panel. I really don't care, it's not my fault he didn't know. He didn't even know how to explain global offset to a guy who asked about using actual pads on stepmania. His approach to this workshop was slow, bland and boring. I plan to just conduct my own SM workshop next year, it was horrible.

I do regret being a little cocky in my attitude, but it really irritated me how he represented SM communities. I even heard one of his "beta testers" mutter something about how veteran simfile artists don't even sync well. He made himself look big by having a guy from Germany sync his files for him, and prepare his files. He never explained what "prepare" meant, and everyone here knows no real simfile artist needs some kind of assistant.

The worst part was he kept offering his email and youtube account for help. I cringed when he said that, and by the end I stood up and mentioned all of the communities who have real steppers and have real help. FFR, SMO, OD, VM (Vocamania), bemanistyle, etc. I would've went on, but of course he cut me off. He couldn't stand seeing me prove him wrong, and he had started to cut me off to go back to the workshop. Which of course meant taking another two minutes to rework the power point presentation.

Seriously, it was bad. Three guys behind me left 30 minutes in. He didn't make SM look good at all, he actually made people want to not use it. He was so complicated in teaching video compression, and he refused to teach simfile stepping in ddreamstudio. He instead made discs with SM 3.9 and used the in game editor.

I do feel like a jerk for making him look like an idiot in his own panel, but after hearing the conceited beta tester call out the veteran simfile artists, I couldn't stand the image he was giving the SM community.

Thanks. I did get something huge out of going to Boston, and it actually happened on the subway back to my motel.

No, not a creepy dude. I made an interesting connection to a technology company based in CA that works on 3D Animation, Graphics, Website Design, etc. This was my ultimate goal, I definitely plan to make something of this.

This seriously made me laugh so hard. How can you take over a panel if you don't even know the basics? On top of that, he made stepmania look even worse which is just not cool. What a disgrace to the whole community.

Thanks. I do admit I left one part out. I asked him if it was possible to set speed mods while playing a preview in the in game editor. He kept saying no, and then Dossar told me how to do it. I had asked him because he was showing screenshots of 1x previews, and I realized people were like "duh, which arrow is which?" It was literally-

"QED, is it possible to set speed mods or even CMods to make the preview easier to read?"

"No, you can't set CMods at all."

"Are you sure? I swore you could spread the arrows out a bit more to make the file easy to read."

"No, not with Cmods."

Dossar mumbles.

"Oh, my friend here says it's in the player options. It's on C750 right now."

"You have it on there right now?"

"Yea. Wanna look?"

"So when you're stepping you have to be intuitive, blah blah cheesy bs etc..."

I don't like to crap all over the panel, but it was so ugh
