I believe Sigma (Oni-Paranoia's friend from CTCon) took video of most of this workshop. He'll probably have it up on youtube soon. I will admit now I regret sounding cocky, but if Sigma got a good glimpse of the powerpoint and a good video of the overall presentation, you'll hopefully see what I was talking about.

Yeah, he definitely recorded a good chunk of it. I looked back every now and then and he was still holding the video cam.

If I was there and he was making a dick of himself, I'd jump up and say something like this:

I bet he was as much a weenie irl as he is online. Did you guys have a nice long discussion about making files that flow with the natural motion of the human body?

Eh, skinny asian and slightly nerdy looking. Tried to look professional while crashing and burning in his own panel. But very passive aggressive, only a someone with good alertness to (vocal) tone and body language (such as me, ask Dossar lol) would have noticed he wasn't able to control his emotions and he was becoming very passive aggressive.

I hope you're being sarcastic, because he didn't even know how to get USB pads to work with SM. Something about global offset, not sure, I mainly step for the keyboard play of stepmania, blah etc. Yet it pissed me off when he said the workshop was going to get people to step some easy pad files.

Hole in logic. You know nothing about pad yet you're going to encourage people stepping it.

Of course technical things don't matter Kommisar! You only need to be intuitive and creative, listen to your heart! If you know it's a good file, don't listen to other people's well intentioned constructive criticism. They are there to hurt you, they are actually figments of your imagination that are out to get you. You're not schizophrenic! You're just schizointuitive! No, of course that isn't a made up word. It's all about making what YOU want in stepmania, and not caring that everyone in the entire world doesn't like your file. Because in the end, you don't need friends to enjoy stepmania and your music. Community? F*** communities, as a matter of fact s*** all over them. You see that German guy who is my professional assistant in a career that doesn't exist? S*** all over him too, you don't need Germans. Remember, pretty arrows and creativity are the key to unlocking all of life's gifts. Did I tell you how awesome my files are? Oh don't forget guys, I know I told you about 57 times, but here's my youtube and gmail if you ever need to contact me for help. I'm actually the only person in the world that knows how to do any of this, there are absolutely no other places to get help. There is no such thing as a site that helps people, that's a lie your parents told you as a child. Everyone that you know that plays stepmania hates you, remember that. Oh jeez, gimme a second guys, the german guy f***ed up the simple button to go to the next slide, it'll be two minutes before I return to this lecture. Oh don't worry, we'll actually do something hands on in about 20 more minutes. I need to finish my completely horrible speech before this cocky puerto rican cuts me off and proves me wrong again. I could go on and on, but this is what I felt in the workshop. This is in no way factual. I had to point that out before the troll posts claiming I'm lying come about.

The question is whether it's justified or not.

Dammit can I just go back to that rave? I'm so going to CTCon haha, I love this stuff.

Edit: To be honest, I'd love to see someone other than QED raid my stepmania panel if I had one. I wouldn't bring up drama from communities, I'd give the simfile artists we know the credit they deserve, and I'd always be open to suggestions. Not to mention I wouldn't brag about an assistant. I'd definitely love to have one next year and have real players and simfile artists run the panel with me.
