      This is obviously fake wtfh

For one thing, Nick doesn't own the rights to Doug anymore -- Disney does. Secondly, Jumbo Pictures no longer exists. Thirdly, Klasky Csupo long ended production. Fourthly, the creator of Hey Arnold had a massive falling out with Nick and has moved onto other things. Fifthly, Nick's ratings are just fine. Sixthly, iCarly is doing amazingly well with the target audience. Seventhly, there are already rerun channels that show old Nick stuff. Eighthly, you're all retarded as hell.
I thought that 4chan thread was going to be the end of it but it looks like the rumor found its way here.

Anyway, yes, this has been confirmed fake. Dreamed up by someone who desperately needs a time machine to go back to 1993.

Yes.. but it was a nice thought eh?
Besides, IF it were to magically do so, I would be real skeptical about watching it. I mean... so many years past and then more? Would noooooo way be as good...

I would love to see new episodes of 90's cartoons, but only if they were voiced by the same people, written by the same writers, directed by the same directors, etc. A change in these important positions is evident in movie sequels.

I might have thought about this more logically if I didn't have a 102 fever the day this was posted, but I really did get excited.

                      Re: Nickelodeon goes classic.

Despite the fact this is fake and all, I do want to say this:

Personally, I'd rather leave my nostalgia as just that -- nostalgia. I don't want any reboots or continuations or offshoots or episodes or any of that stuff. It just wouldn't be the same, especially considering that much of the reason we enjoyed Nick shows is because we were kids in a different era.

EVERY generation goes through this: "Our stuff was so much better! The stuff that's being churned out for the younger generation nowadays is total bullshit." Kids now love the stuff that's currently being produced just as we loved the stuff we grew up with. But that's the cool part about nostalgia -- it's personalized and unique, and yet knowing that there are others who are nostalgic over the same stuff is what makes it cool.

However, that being said, I do think that the cartoon networks used to be a lot better. XD There seemed to be a lot more interesting variety and less reliance on slapstick humor. Even if I were to lump the old and new Nick shows together, the contrast is pretty stark. There was a lot more creativity back then in terms of character development, plots, humor, etc. Not sure how the new generation has changed but I feel sorry for it. XD

Never watched much Cartoon Network as a kid because it wasn't part of our cable package until I was about 13 years old. :/
Occasionally I would watch Courage the Cowardly Dog at my friend's house who had satellite but I guess I just didn't get it. The show kinda creeped me out.

Me too ;.; could rarely watch that show because when I was younger it would scare the shit out of me XD

But some of the shows today do need to be re-looked at. Too many human shows, less cartoons. Kids that are 13-14 years old and younger having all of the latest technology. It's just weird.

A cool idea; if you were to have a 10 year old watch Hey Arnold then watch iCarly [as examples of older cartoons and newer cartoons] back to back, I wonder what the outcome would be. Obviously it would have to be a very controlled experiment where the child had never seen either one before but it'd be an experiment worth seeing the results of.
