Re: Card Games
heh, Euchre.
This happened a long time ago, so I forgot the exact details of it. Once in a game that I was playing online, my team lead 9-8. I called spades trump with 9S, TS AS, AH, and ?C. A club was led, which my partner took with the ace. At this point, he had 1 card of each suit in his hand. He then led the worst card possible -- the last club (it was the 9). Seriously? My opponent on my right threw out a diamond, and not wanting my opponent on my left to overtrump me, I threw out my AH. And a huge WTF when my partner wins the second trick with a non-trump 9. We took 3 tricks and won. Although my partner's lead on the second trick was absolutely horrible, hindsight shows that the club lead was the only lead which would've prevented me from getting set. My opponent on the right actually had KS, JC, and JS along with his diamond and club. Opponent on my left had the AD, with the club and 3 other red cards.
Also, I once attempted to go alone on 4 consecutive hands. They were all legit calls. One was 5 trump without the right. One was 4 trump and a non-trump non-ace. One was 3 trump, two non-trump of the same suit with an ace and something lower than a king. One was bowers only with the 3 non-trump aces. I failed to make any one of them.
I also play spades. Once had a hand strong enough to make a bid of 11.
