Please teach a 6yr WinXP user how to use Win7

    I'm so lost. o.o

(If you have vista you can help too because apparently it's exactly the same)

I don't know where anything is. A basic rundown from a power user please.

I'm switching from Windows XP to Windows 7. That's almost a 7 year difference in technology. It wont take me long to get used to it, but the way the system works is totally different. Menus are missing, although I'm finding most of them, other options don't work, menus are missing, taskbar is queer as hell, menus are missing.

Um.. Everything should be pretty easy to figure out. The GUI is pretty much the same.

Nah, there's differences. It took me about 3-4 weeks to get used to Vista after switching from XP last year.

Zaggy, I really can't lay down the everything-you-need-to-know-about-win7-and-some-things-you-dont thing; you should probably get this if you're that stuck. Buuuut, seeing as I know you're better at computers than that, if you have any specific questions, just post them or hit me up on MSN/AIM and I'll help you as best I can. :P

Do you have anything more specific because if anyone was to just unload knowledge on this thread it would take years to read through it all.

Took like 4 hours, I'm blowing this operating system.
                        Pretty damn sexy. :]

I'm still not sure about navigating the system files but it shouldn't take long. :[

I don't understand why you'd want to change from XP to Vista / 7, but that's just me.

                              Because 7 is better.
