Even America's next top model is a horrible show. They had two chubby models on there and got voted off as the first too, becuase they weren't skinny enough. Our society revolves around tall, blonde haired blue eyed skinny girls. It's really sad, no wonder a lot of people are worried about their weight. So That model show pisses me off.

My favorite reality show type thing that's on the air these days is ABDC. Those people are incredible at what they do and there's definitely a lot less people that could do the same thing. However, I'm going to have to disagree with A2P on his point that it's pop garbage that gives people the hope that it's easier to become a professional singer/whatnot these days because that's not true at all. Over 100,000 people were weeded out to get to where we are in the competition, and yes, although I'm sure that Danny is the better talent (over Kris), and that Adam should win because he is an incredible vocal talent and great performer (hence why the show even exists). Besides, we all know that any person able to get past the pre-lim round that we don't even see is either good, or is an absolutely ridiculous producer-chosen person who is thrown into the fire so that America can laugh a little. Besides, this season is by far the closest season up to date in terms of vocal powerhouses and overall talent.

I conclude saying go Adam and **** the haters! xD

Because all it's doing is giving people false hope that it'll be easy to be a singer (or a musician, I haven't watched the show in centuries) because it's being hosted on national T.V. It's not. And most people vote based on the singers looks instead of you know...their actual talent? It's quite sad, but hey! At least I'm not the one mindlessly calling in to vote on some nearly talentless fool because "OMG HE/SHE'S SO SUAVE."

It's the same with nearly every musician that we're fed to today. But that's an argument for a different day.

Of course it's true. How do I know it gives out false hope? Well, you said that in the very next sentence:

100k+ people trying to get in the show, thinking that their false dreams will be fulfilled, and yet only 30 (If I even recall that correctly; they might have lowered their standards ahem I mean make it easier for contestants now) make it. 30 out of 100k miserable people who think that they can sing...tell me that isn't false hope.

Proves my point exactly. You say that this Danny person has better talent, but yet you choose somebody else over "performance skills" (I assume that they have nothing to do with singing/music at all). Also to note...do you ever see anybody who doesn't look like a supermodel in that show? ...I didn't either.

Yeah man, screw criticism. The only thing it has done for us is open our minds to opposing ideas, help correct our flaws, and broaden our perspective of life so that we as a human race can grow. Criticism blows.
