    Stupid.

    Our state legislature decided to take out half days from the school year. Which sucks. There are only 4, but still. Any other states doing this? I live in Indiana, by the way.

      You know what's stupid? having half days. It's hard for the busses to run and for people to get rides home and all kinds of ****. a total inconvenience.

              You only have 4? Then why the hell are you complaining about it? It won't make much of a difference.

              PS my school has around 20 half days WHAT.

                              well teachers have a shorter work day in reality than most people, they should just make time to grade. Plus, most of them have off periods to grade, and the weekend. A lot of people have to work the weekend. It isn't that hard to get grading done. And 4 days out of the year? if it were that urgent for them and thats the only reason I see why they took it away.

                                  Well, lately we've been having a lot of snow days. Our school year was extended a week because of it.

                                          And so true. I never saw a reason for schools to use half days in the first place (in the states). It should either be a teacher work day and give students the day off or not. Overcomplicating things is funny.

                                          I personally would have loved to go to school in japan. Half days on Saturday is nothing but sexy. ;D
