hmm.
Try seeing if you can get an under the table job with a construction company. I carry 50 pound cinder blocks out of the way for cranes and make 12 bucks an hour. =/

In case anybody cares, I was dead serious about the cross-eyed interviewer story. :[
Also, to top off the fact that he was cross-eyes, I was told the interview would be with "Jean", which made me think it was a woman. So when the guy walked out, I was totally thrown off. :[

kinda hard to be a camp counsellor in the winter I would imagine....

My best job i've ever had was working at a grocery store in the produce section. It was an easy job with no stress and i met some of the most amazing people ever. On top of that, once you are there for a bit you get some authority and you can make people younger than you and with no backbone do all the work.
In one year I made about 9-10 grand back when minimum wage was like $7.15 so now that is is something like 9.00 you could easily make enough

get certified as a lifeguard and work at a pool, that's what I do

$8.25/hr for sitting on a stand, more if you've been there longer

Maybe try starting low and building up. I don't know if it's the same as over here, but work experiace on your CV can help alot. I suppose it's just persistance.

FedEx / UPS - Package Handler. That job is kinda boring, and it is pretty much the same thing everyday, but the pay is good. It is steady work. Great opportunities for upward movement.

I've been doing this on and off for the past 3-4 years now with school. They help pay for school. It's nothing special, but I think it's a pretty good starting job. Also, semi-frequent pay raises by amount of days worked.

You should work at a restaurant lol, my friend get's 15 an hour and there is no exp needed.
