I don't want to come off as some sort of fascist insane crack cowboy, I'm just a stickler for the truth. To be quite honest, I used to dislike Vista before coming to find that I got tricked into believing a bunch of viral internet hype. That happens with a lot of things, and so I stick by one of the thing's that's most important: the truth. Remember the lesson learned from 1984 (cliche maybe, but true): is it truth if no one knows? Somebody's got to stand up for it no matter what.
Same thing with the elections and everything else. You don't have to agree with me, though I might try to persuade you if you're on the fence. But all I really care about is that you're making an informed decision and for the right reasons. Doesn't have to be my opinion..

It has to do largely with my reason for demanding substantiated statements from those criticizing Vista, which at this point has become what most of this thread's discussion has pertained to..

I agree 100% with OrganisM. I do personally choose XP over Vista but that's just because I'm switching to Ubuntu and why bother getting the hang of all the little things in an OS when you're just going to learn a new one. I just keep XP on here so I can use it when I run into problems with Ubuntu...such as my wireless driver not working yet T_T.
Also for all the crashing problems people have it's usually because they probably have some sort of malware...the Kernal Vista runs on is actually quite stable...and it's only when other programs mess it up, it starts crashing. Vista actually does a lot of good things, like it uses up RAM you're currently not using (And takes the lowest priority so if you need the RAM for something else it will use less) to do background tasks so it runs more efficiently.
Also as I've told you NFD, that was probably some form of Malware deleting it you picked up on a website deleting System32...to avoid this I suggest using FireFox3 with the Add-On NoScript. Really nobody should be using IE, most vulnerable and garbage browser out there.Comment
