I voted today at my college. The lines were freakishly long and it took me about 2 hours to vote.
I registered down here at college too. It did take like 5 minutes because there was just a table set up on campus for like 2 weeks where you could walk up, register, get a pin that says, "I'm a voter!", and a free laffy taffy. No hassles at all.
