      I'm not stopping you.

Just don't think for a second that this I-Doser is causing anything, as it is entirely your doing.

Self inducing of mental states can be good for you. Many people meditate/whatever in order to reduce anxiety etcetera and there's nothing unhealthy about this. I just don't think this specific method is anything special and does not merit any attention.

Its just helping. Some people need a little boost to get into this state of mind. Thus, I-Doser is that boost. >_>

          The samples fail.

I feel nothing out of the ordinary.

Am I supposed to close my eyes or something?

Maybe my brain isn't wired the same as all of yours.

I never really closed my eyes. You just sorta half to clear your thoughts and focus on the sounds. It's sorta like meditation like mentioned above. If ur thinking about other stuff it doesn't work as well

              Re: I-Doser?

I tried Hand of God a while back, the entire half hour of it. It's just... a loud monotonous sound. Even when I tried concentrating on only the sound, nothing happened. It's basically only what your mind makes it out to be, really. If you convince yourself it will work, then it will work. It's sort of like how hypnosis works, too.

I remember when a kid last year put the orgasm sound on a portable speaker and turned it on during robotics class rofl.

Hand of God has only worked for 5 people reportedly.
I saw a white light and quick blue streaks but that's it.

I've heard stories about Viagra... I'm almost too afraid to try it.

Ok then, tell these people if you punch them in the face, they will feel like they're drunk.

Then punch them in the face and see what happens.

                            It's not that easy.

But the point I was trying to make was that the source of the effect shouldn't be of concern. If the effect can be identified as real, the cause doesn't necessarily need to be. Just look at people who overcome these unbeatable cancers. Does the fact that they willed themselves out of it make a bit of difference?

And what do you think of hypnosis then? It might not be "real", but it can certainly have a real effect. Why then would you talk down about these things?

I just don't think this specific method is anything special and does not merit any attention.
Can you point out any other easy methods of self hypnosis?

You just sorta half to clear your thoughts and focus on the sounds.
This can't possibly be entirely true, although it probably would help to be in at least a semi-meditative state. When I tried alcohol to it's full length, I was browsing forums and news sites and I still felt a few seconds of something.

If you convince yourself it will work, then it will work.
That's the funny thing about this sort of thing. If you keep an open mind, it can work, but if you refuse it, you're literally refusing the effects as well as the cause. That's part of why I think this sort of thing is so interesting.

The official website has a special software to play these. It comes with 2 ones with it, and others are saying they can send you more for free via email. Alternatively, you can try Limewire as was suggested.
