    Re: 9/11

I was 11 when it happened, was in school, or just finishing when it happened.

It's nice it's still remembered, but the world needs to move on too and look at future things.

        Re: 9/11

I remeber it as if it were yesterday. I remember I woke up to my friends knocking on my door because we always walked to the bus stop together in the morning and i was still asleep. So i scrambled to get clothes on and run out the door, and as i was scrambling I heard one of them say something about a plane crashing into a building, but i was too paniced about being late, and still half asleep, i didn't really pay much attention. Once I got to school, i was in 7th grade and I walked into my first period class which was spanish and it was sitting there on the TV and my spanish teacher was just sitting there crying. We watched it up until the bell rang and the principle came on and did a moment of silence, and announced that the schools flag had been lowered. She then asked that classes carry on as usual and not to watch TV during class, but that she wanted every teacher to have the TV on during passing period so the students would know what's going on.

I don't think anyone who was old enough to remember this day will ever forget the details of what was happening when they found out. It's sorta like my grandma always telling me about the day pearl harbor was attacked. She was only 8 and she could remember everything about that day. I didn't believe it was possible for someone to remember something from such a young age until this happened.

If I walk up the street I can see new york, I saw the smoke from it =/
I remember walking to school, which was right around the block from me that morning, and hearing this plane loud as hell fly over, it was pretty low for a plane I guess, though, I have no clue if that was the first plane or not. I was in 4th grade when this happened.

I was almost 12 when it happened.

I remember I was in French class and we were all told to go into the library.
There was a television set up.
            I didn't understand a lot right away.
I saw the planes crashing into the towers and the towers falling too I believe.
I'm not sure if it was live or not.
            Some kids were crying.

I've seen so many 9/11 videos since then, you couldn't imagine.

            Such a horrible, horrible day.

I doubt anyone who was old enough will forget where they were and what they were doing.

I mean, I remember, I just don't really... you know, feel the zip as much as other people did. It did, however, annoyingly bolster flag sales. I found so many tattered flags from people driving around with flags on their cars that would just fly off. Really says something about people.

Just a note: The biggest 'China Town' is in Japan.

I never cared for 9/11, and never will. Other people suck.

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
                  "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

meh, i do have some compassion for the situation that happened years ago because after all, i do live in NYC, but at the same time, i do feel that there was not enough security at the time. nowadays, there's ****loads of cops in NYC wherever you go, so you're safer there than before.

I'd probably laugh in their face if they went on about it like some folks do about 9/11.

And again, those travesties of the past DRASTICALLY outnumber our modern tragedy. How many people died during WWII, those in Nazi camps, during the attack on Pearl Harbor, during the US's bombing in Japan? How many died in the airplanes that crashed, the people in the towers, the people in the Pentagon, the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq?

Also, no one is dwelling, they're just remembering. They're not sad every day of their life because so-so died, but I'm sure when it gets brought up they're sad.
Most people were not affected directly. The average person has no link to this tragedy. When they think of those who lost their lives, they can see only a faceless group of thousands. I think it's silly to get worked up over one group of faceless thousands and not be troubled over the billions of faceless people who have died in the past. I think it's silly to cling to these couple thousand who tragically lost their lives, but not give a damn about the millions who lost their lives under even more tragic circumstances. Yes, it was more recent, but that's only an excuse so long as the thing truly is recent. At a point, a line has to be cut, and frankly, I think it should be getting cut by now.

ps ninjaKIWI, you better hope Chardish doesn't come out of hibernation and see that; I do believe he's banned folks in the past for posting that.

i was 14 at the time. my grandpa was taking me to an orthodontist appointment that morning. we were listening to a news station on the way there. and they were talking about how a plane had hit the building. they werent sure why it had happened obviously since it was a clear day. they were just saying that may have been an error. then the second one hit. they had it on tv at the ortho. i saw the towers fall when it happened. i couldnt believe what i was seeing.

went back to school and we were watching the news in every class. small town school we didnt get let out or anything. then i had football practice lol. ill never forget that day. esp since it was one of the last times i was with my grandpa before he died less than a month later.

                              16 - 7 = 9.
I was nine when it happened, I think I was in 2nd grade.
But I remember what I was doing.
I was in math class and we were coming back to the classroom from break.
I saw in other classrooms that people were all watching tv and I asked why aren't we watching anything?!
We got back into the classroom and the tv was in there and we learned that the twin towers were hit by planes.
I was too young to understand how horrible it was at the time.
I was scared though, all I was hoping for was to get out of school and go home to safety.
I don't think I'll ever forget that day.
