My computer used to randomly pick up radio stations. I'll be playing FFR, then like halfway through the song I'll start hearing a completely different song in the background.

I would be freaked the **** OUT if I started hearing random conversations coming out of my speakers. Holy crap.

No, it's not common. You need to have unshielded speakers and in a location near a broadcast station with just the right orientation.

I would never have heard it either, but when I swapped the location of my computer in my old room, the subwoofer was positioned in such a way that it would pick up radio waves on Wednesday mornings. Since moving to another room I've never heard it again.

The one thing most people WILL hear from speakers is annoying blips and bleeps every hour or so if they keep an AT&T cellphone near their speakers.

I don't think it matters what carrier you have, speakers/other phones will always pick up that weird interference when a cellphone gets a text or something next to them.

Wow this has never happened to me. Probably because I live out in the middle of nowhere, but yeah I would be entirely creeped out if I heard voices comming from my speakers that I know aren't from my computer.

Might be time to consider upgrading speakers/wiring guys.

I assumed that you meant it happens in general, but applied it to the carrier you currently have. That would get annoying... Why does it happen so routinely with AT&T?
