I think you picked a bad time to submit this to Kong. There have been a lot of high scoring games as of late. It's a lot more strategic to submit it when things are slow. Less competition, higher chance of winning money, etc.

I don't really see why it needs speed mods, seeing as the people it's targeting haven't played FFR. They're not used to using them like us, they don't know the difference. Also, a lot of them are mentioning SCGMD, which does not have speed mods.

But, more importantly, I voted 5 and added it to my favs

It makes me sad they are comparing it to SCGMD. And saying it's a cheap ripoff. Like SCGMD isn't a cheap ripoff of guitar hero...

SCGMD is a cheap ripoff of nothing because it's a ****ty remake of nothing, and nothing is pretty ****ty and boring, so therefore it's an even worse pile of nothing.

FFR and SCGMD are not comparable.

Also smartdude1212 when i show people FFR in some gaming sites i post they tend to say SCGMD is way better on a regular basis
its mainly because of all the "PAzzazz?" in SCGMD with the announcer and the "your a maniac" "you rock" every two seconds that makes them feel super lol and the guitar unlocks with all the stars
the default speed mod is also higher on SCGMD just played a "complex" rated song and it has a very rapid feeling when playing Vs TheWanderer the top song in the widget that imo goes too slow and is too dense

our game is more precise and professional and those amateurs who play SCGMD cant tell and are not aware
SCGMD is a success and i see there are pretty complex charts in it i dont mean they are good but maybe the ffr widget could of had 1 VC file or something but again without speed mods its not playable in my opinion
so the end result is SCGMD is a more complete and well made game vs the widget
why post a widget and not the actual game with the speed mods key mapping auto fail and a selected few charts BAM show the people the real power of the game..instead of the widget..

The main problem is the average player is new to the whole rhythm game stuff. People who say it's a ripoff of SCGMD are probably the same ones who think GH is the first rhythm game ever, and that Guitar Freaks is a ripoff as well.

I guess I over estimated the average gamer... I'm pretty disappointed in the initial turnout and comments of the widget... but, there really isn't anything that we lost by doing it. Still kinda sucks.

Well I think if you're going to get anyone that's not from FFR to vote for this, then you will need to make this widget nearly as good as the real thing. We require speedmods and more songs. Also, an explanation of different playing styles in the definition will help.

Agreed but he posted the link to the main site and said "If you want speed mods and the such go here" so I think it was good. I played the wanderer one handed though, you should of put a really hard song to show the difficulty of the game though.

over estimated or under estimated? if theres nothing to lose release a proper version with the genre wheel look key mapping speed mods and a hand picked few of the best top quality VD-C-VC-FMO files apposed to mario and trip to the moon
it will always be just a teaser being here is where you will find all the 650+ files

also the fact is that widget is going to be on kongregate for a long time!
so it might as well be a good version of the game..a proper version will get more popular then SCGMD i have no doubt and also could win that 1500$ but if its a version with faults time will just make them clearer

there are hard files on SCGMD and its a success

the link is posted but how many people will see that link? only as much as the game is popular on kong. there for theres a need for more quality imo

When are you going to put this on the fron page Tass?

And also I wouldn't sweat the intial turnout. Give it some time, I mean its already ranked 14th in our category and that number is bound to rise dramatically when you post it on the front page.

I still think this could be a huge sucsess.

It's probably only ranked that well because of FFR's support, not Kongregate. In truth, the widgets suck. If I had not been an FFR player I would've given it a lower rating. Sooner or later we will run out of support from the FFR userbase, then our fate lies in the hands of the average Kongregate user.
