Well, my dad cannot find a job, and the last severance check just came in, and my family wont be getting any money at all for at least 3 1/2 weeks.
That means we will barely even have enough money for food.

Oh no, I would not ask for donations.
Also, I forgot I have around 1800$ in the bank right now, that might be enough to pay for food an gas for 4 weeks.
Its not really food we are gonna have trouble on, its bills.

Unemployment payments, they wont start until June 12. 400$ a week.

Apply for welfare from the state, they will give you food stamps and you will be able to use that... or, if your father hasn't already used up the government funded unemployment that he's owed he can easily have that and make at least 400 dollars a week off of it. Also, you can help out by going out and finding a job that involves yard work or something, or you could try to get a job.
