Amazing options, too bad Coke Zero completely defeats the purpose of drinking "soda". You're supposed to be getting full of sugar and calories, what a waste.

Off-brand is often better than the name brand. Cola sometimes isn't up to snuff, but you may be surprised how good the Dr Thunders and Mountain Lightnings might be. I've especially noticed that diet offbrands tend to not even have a terrible after taste when compared to that of the name brand equivalent. And much cheaper too, sometimes as much as about half the price.

This is cutting it VERY close to 'in before lock'.

If you don't want a day ban, you should probably change that wording.

Also, root beer.

Not to mention that "off-brand" sodas tend to cost monumentally less than their name brand counterparts. Coke tends to be a different story, I much rather buy Coke over many other non-name brands when I find it on sale because to me, it actually tastes a bit better. However, the rare times where I can find RC Cola, you can bet I'll buy that over Coke.

I actually think this thread is salvageable, as long as we discuss horrible soda in general instead of merely using the poll as an excuse to emphasize how much the OP doesn't like Coke Zero.

And kind of ironic that I saw this while drinking a Coke Zero. I kind of dig the stuff.

I gotta go with generic soda. Even the diet generic soda is better than coke zero. Coke zero and all the other diet name brand sodas lie and say that it tastes the same, but yeah right. I dont mind drinking Go 2 soda (safeway generic) but I dont like best yets one.

Anyways, in my first post that was deleted by Chardish, I brought up root beer. I haven't really had a bad root beer, though I'd have to say Barq's is probably as low quality as you get. I've never had any 'off-brand' root beers, and usually I buy IBC root beer in the glass bottles, which are amazing.

Even better is going to a restaurant and getting a nice cold root beer in a frosted mug. Delicious.

Pretty Good Soda Discussion

So, I found this soda at Wal-Mart called Ditto. It's pretty much Sprite, but has so many grams of sugar hahaha, 40g. Pretty sure that's a lot. I don't drink soda that much, so I wouldn't know. When I do drink though, I usually veer towards root beer (A&W FOR DA WIN). Or Fanta (orange, strawberry ftl).

I drink carbonated fruit juice, not soda, really.

But the few times I drink soda, I like fruity-ish sodas.

I dont really have a favorite soda nor do i hate any of them (except diet anything) I usualy drink Coke, Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper, Root Beer, Sprite, and any soda that involves a fruit.
