    I'm back.

Hey guys. The Honor band was incredible. My lips are ripped up form playing about 11 hours worth in 2 days. I learned some great musician tips. When the CD is recorded of our performance and is shipped, I will post the songs.

    Get this.
I played my first game of DDR yesterday.
    That would be 2/14/04.

Here are the stats. (It was a DDR Megamix)
    B4U light - D
    Butterfly light - Failed

Here is where I get laughed at.

Welcome back, Cenright... Pretty bad for a first try, to be honest. I think I Ad Graduation Light my first try at DDR. But hey, just keep practicing. Having fun is the important part. How did your performance go?

EDIT: Just realized... both our avatars are blue-skinned girls with long hair... (though mine's anime and yours is from Photoshop :P)

Well my diaphram is so sore. The main tip was a breathing tip. You are always supposed to breathe from your diaphram, but you forget about it which messes up tonal quality. Also, when you breathe diaphramatically, you can take a full breath in much less time.

              Here it is:
The syllable you are using is 'cah' it is going to be a quick syllable that takes about a half second or less. Say it a few times to get used to it. Now you are going to say it as you breathe in. The 'c' part of it should be the beginning of your breath, and the 'h' should be the end of it. Now say it without moving your shoulders, if you aren't already.

That is how you are supposed to breathe for an instrument. Your diaphram is also stronger, so can get more force in your notes.

Wow. I did not know that. That's interesting.
I mean, usually everyone says "breath with your diaphram" or something like that. "Breath deep into your lower area." Or whatever. But that doesn't help.
But I don't think I'm fully grasping that "cah" thing.

here, i have a great diaphram exercise... we learned it while at band camp last season...
only works with two people though
Breathe in through your diaphram, and have your partner place one hand on your stomach and one hand on your back. breath in as much air as possible, then take two more breaths. then slowly start to release the air out of your diaphram (with your mouth slightly open, but your teeth touching, making a "tss" sound), while your partner pushes on your diaphram (thats how the air is released).

its a great breath control exercise... called tizzling.

I can see it now... everyone's gonna go to their next band practice and ask the hot girl that sits near them to "tizzle" with them......

Glad to hear you had a good time Cen, though failing a light song after having played FFR for a while is...meh =\

It is better than the CPR teacher looking for volunteers.
