and define high . Highest I've played was like a double F (Red) or something (To bad it sounds horrible and I can never get that high when I need to, which is also never :P, we almost never go above an A (blue) in our songs)

That's why I stick to guitar. Allows me to stay unathletic and still have some sembalnce of ability to play.

try training mode for ddr (if you can play a home mix at a friend's house), it makes you like 10 times better than you were when you played your first song (D remember you light before training, B max 300 light after training, A max 300 light and AA a 7-foot song on heavy now, but then again I haven't played in a month :\)

why play trumpet though.. I used to be in band a got sick of trumpet in like 3 months.. I'd rather play a real man's instrument.. like a kazoo or something

Welcome back, Cen. And I can't believe that was your first DDR game...we have a virgin on our hands here, guys! You need to go buy DDRMAX and a red octane pad, then when you get better buy DDR Konamix (get it online, it was a PS1 game). Don't get DDRMAX2, not enough new songs to warrent $40 unless you're fairly rich.

I tried playing again (after two years of not playing) and the highest I could get to was octave F (I dont know what it is called). Ugh.

A is 1/2 double F is 1, double G is open, which supposedly is the highest the trumpet goes while staying in the 'real' range, you can still squek things higher :P .

You mean the first one on my scale? Welcome to 8th grade, TEHEE. (Seriously, I could play 6 notes higher after I got back from 8/9th summer break, wierd.)

mmm, i dont play trumpet (well, i dabble in it, and i know HOW to play, not my main thing tho) but, i had some screachin stuff last season on my horn. a flat and b flats above the staff... which IS possible, but... really really not easy to accomplish.

but on trumpet, i can get to about that A thats circles on brains staff... like i said, not my main instrument.

I play tenor sax. It roxors better.

About the high notes- I'm in our school's jazz band, and our lead trumpet can play a LOT higher than that, Brain. My lessons teacher brought in a tape of this guy, one of the best in the world, playing a 7-octave G. It sounded higher than a freaking squeak, OMFG :O:O

Man, Cen, those performances must have killed. This Friday I have a festival at MU (yes, I live in MO) and Saturday, one at CMSU. I'm gonna die, lol. I'm only in 7th grade, jeez.

Welcome back Cenright. First try at DDR eh? Must've been fun. And yeah try playing a home mix or something they've got training mode meaning no fail. And then on some mixes they have a line thing so it gives you an idea of where the 1/4 1/8 and 1/16 are so you can step on the arrows more accurately. Like said it was your first try, so we can't really judge your progress until you play a couple more games. Keep trying!
